These days many garages won't plug tires, so having the ability to install plugs yourself is helpfull.

The T-handle plug insertion device broke on the first try (steel rod detached from the handle and could not be tightened again using the screws on the side). After struggling to make it work for 20 minutes, I gave up and used a 7 year old Safety Seal kit stashed in my wife's car. The Safety Seal insertion device worked just fine.

When comparing the two kits side by side, the Safety Seal tools are noticeably heavier and are put together more securely.

The plugs on this Chinese knock-off are also difficult to remove from the plastic "sleeves". The paper Safety Seal sleeves seem to do the job better and provide just as much protection.

These defects should have been simple to address -- made me wonder just what kind of practical testing the manufacturers of this kit do.

This is by far the best type of auto plug kit available. Short of getting your tire patched from the inside this is the best you can do if you get a nail in your tire in a parking lot somewhere.
I've never had one of the beefy jerky like plugs leak. One word of caution is that the lube in the black container liquefies and will leak if left in a hot car. Put the container in a zip lock bag and lay the kit flat or you can just take it out (you don't really need to use it).
P.S. if you are going to repair the tire in a parking lot don't forget a pump of some type!

so far Ive used twice and it has already paid for itself.
anybody can easily and successfully patch a nail or screw hole with
this high Quality kit. the hole reamer is sized right and easy to use. The lubricant makes insertion quick and easy.
the round guard makes extraction and leaving plug behind in hole
effortless. I remove tire and pump it up to 40lbs. or more, which makes
the process easy. This is the right tool for the job.

I'm sure after looking at this kit that it will be just fine, but I can't understand why they wouldn't include instructions for a few cents more. How hard is it to include a piece of paper with a quick instruction? It comes in a nice case and with a lot of plugs and a pretty decent sized container of lube. The price is right when compared to local auto parts stores or farm and home store.
