"Fire Gone" is a single use fire extinguisher that is perfect for home, car and business use. We are professional candle makers and always keep several fire extinguishers strategically placed about our workshop and in our house. We have the "big" extinguishers near our candle production area, but wanted smaller ones that could be placed under our sales counter and the "Fire Gone" fit the bill perfectly.

See Video: We tested this on a mixture of over saturated Gel Wax (which is VERY flammable), wood chips, wax soaked paper towels, and Paraffin Wax. Once it caught well, we removed the safety tab and used it on the fire. The can lasted about 17 seconds and quickly extinguished the fire.

This is a very conveniently sized fire extinguisher and knowing it works provides us with good peace of mind.

Highly Recommended!

CFH

We tested out one of these extinguishers this past weekend at a fire safety training. The fires we practice on are gasoline/Naptha burning in a pan of water, and on pavement. The extinguishers we use for the trainings are generally 15LB CO2 extinguishers, but we wanted to test out the efficacy of these "new" small extinguishers. We waited until the end of the training, to where the test fire is the hottest and hardest to put out. We lit the fuel, and I used this extinguisher on the fire, and it worked...but as I said in the title, withing important limits. The limits are natural, and in no way a problem with the product. The first limitation is how far the extinguishing agent shoots - it is at best around 4 feet. This is a good limitation because you should not use this extinguisher on any fire that you can't get that close to. The second limitation is how much extinguishing agent it contains...and this is also good because you shouldn't try to use an extinguisher like this on a fire that you would be better off evacuating away from. The agent in these extinguishers is what's known as AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) which is a water-based foam and has a very long track record of effective use in fire fighting. In conclusion I would feel confident having a couple of these in my home in case of emergency.

I thankfully can't speak to how well it will it on a fire, but I bought this to store in my car. The can even said good for auto, RV, etc. But after receiving it, I noticed the warning on the can: "Do no store at temperatures above 120*F / 49*C. Avoid freezing." This means it can't be stored in a vehicle; it will explode! If you're looking for a fire extinguisher to put in your car, this isn't it.

I'm sure glad I had one of these handy a few weeks ago. I was grilling pork chops, and I took my eye off the grill -- and I forgot to turn the gas down after pre-heat -- just long enough for the temperature to get up to 700 degrees and light the grapeseed oil I was cooking with. A fire spread over the grill as I turned off the gas. The fire kept spreading, so I grabbed this fire extinguisher and with one squirt the fire was out in less than a second. Whew!

This is a great product, but until they learn how to ship the cans without breaking the tops off, don't order them. I received 3 to use as stocking stuffer and 3 cans were in a large box without 1 piece of bubble wrap or paper. They are not useable without the squirters. Amazon says they can't be returned because they are " flammable"!!!!!! they should have thought of that when they shipped them. I could do alot better job shipping back then they did mailing them. $30.00 Down the drain'. ARG!

I ordered two of these fire extinguishers. One arrived OK but the other one had a broken tab, which makes it useless. I went to the return section of the Amazon website and it said "For safety reasons, items that are classified as hazardous materials or use flammable liquids or gases cannot be returned to Amazon.com." So I'm stuck with it. I have ordered from Amazon for a long time and this leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I purchased the MAX Professional to replace my old extinguisher, very old, and I keep it in my kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised at the lightness of this product because my old one was very heavy and difficult to manage. As I age, I'm losing strength in my hands and fingers, and the Max will be much easier to handle if I need it. I never did use my old one, but everyone should be prepared for something if it comes along. I would definitely recommend this product to others.

I haven't had to use it yet luckily. Though I did had a minor fire in my toaster oven, this would have been good to have in case it spread. I didn't have a fire extinguisher! What I liked about it is how lightweight it is and it fits underneath my sink. It expires in 2018 and that's good. I think it's good for only one use, but it'll be good to have in emergencies. I feel a bit better having one now! Safety first.
