I must admit, I was skeptical about this given the low price. Other products were about four times as expensive. I took a risk with this and was pleasantly surprised. It is exceedingly sturdy, collapses to a very compact size, and is comfortable to the hand. One thing to advise, 110cm works out to about 3.5 feet. As a 6' tall man, it comes just past my waist. That being said, it is nice to walk with, especially when climbing a hill or rock. Great product for a casual to moderate hiker.

ADDITION:
I used this to hike the Cedar Falls Trail in Petit Jean State Park. This thing is built REALLY well. On more occasions than I care to count, I nearly fell over onto a pile of large boulders, but was able to catch my balance with this hiking stick. It is REALLY well built.

Not a bad hiking stick, especially for the price but as descibed it's 110 cm in. length which is about 44 inches. That comes up to my waist. The correct length for a hiking stick should be almost up to your armpit. This pole is best for a child or very small adult. In fairness the product description does state the length. Guess I should have taken the time to make the conversion.

I ordered two of these. So far I've done about 18 miles hiking, and backpacking. These poles literally have saved my knees. I have a bum knee from a ski accident in high-school. Uphill I'm usually fine but downhill is a different story. These poles are just the trick. The shock absorbing capability of these is awesome. They store away nice and are quite sturdy. I would have given 5 stars but there are two things that could be better. First, these only extend to 110cm (3.6 ft) which is fine if you only plan on going uphill or on level terrain. Thankfully I'm a short guy and the 110cm is plenty for downhill for me--but just barely. If you are taller than 5'8" you'll probably need longer poles. Second, when the poles arrived one of the compasses was busted out. With the compass removed there is a very sharp little point that the compass sits on. I had to add epoxy to the hole to cover the point so I would quit poking myself on it. Take a different compass, the one on the other pole didn't work too well.

When I received the walking stick, I forgot it was spring loaded and pulled one of the sections apart. They slide back together nicely though. I would recommend it to everyone who needs some assistance

These poles are lightweight and easy to carry. I've just started with Nordic Walking, and find them just right for me as a beginner. They are a little cumbersome to twist and adjust but for the money are definitely worth it. I recommend these poles for the amature walker/hiker.

For the money, these were a good purchase; though, they are a little "light duty' for serious hiking and come apart a little too easy.
