It is not as heavy duty as the description leads you to believe. My dog bent the cage bars after his 1st stay in this cage. The cage did not come packaged well and there were a couple missing screws. If it was anything else I would have sent it back but the shipping cost and poor package forced me to keep it. My dog was also able to escape though the hinged roof. The door and hinged roof do not lock well so I had to add my own chain! I would keep on looking for something that will actually hold a large dog.

If I could rate this a zero I would. The crate showed up defective. After I sent them pictures to prove it (thank you for not taking my word for it), they ignored me. Then I had to get Amazon involved. Amazon worked out an agreement for the items to be returned and for the charge to be removed from my credit card. It's now been 3 weeks since I returned the item, and no refund. So I am still out $300 from these clowns and no crate.

The pictures show two different types of crates. A silver crate which is the Heaviest Duty Crate and a black one that is just a heavy duty crate. I would bet that they probably ship the cheaper one! Just be awhere.
