Its a big sturdy cage, but the latch was easily broken by my puppy. He then ate my couch! I used a d ring on it to keep him in it.

We purchased this kennel because our 70 pound Weimaraner had busted out of his "wire cage." My husband re-welded it back together and he again broke the welds. This cage itself is heavy duty; however, the locks on it are laughable. They are flimsy & amazingly he hadn't broken them in getting out, but he did figure our how they worked and escaped! We ended up purchasing a chain & hook to "chain" the door closed, which keeps him safely inside.
