Christine Jette's book, Professional Tarot was a book I had to get as soon as I learned the release date. It was timely in that I am currently starting a Tarot-based business.
Once the book was in my hands, I familiarized myself with the set-up, then dived in. It did not disappoint. I discovered that there is so much personal responsibility involved in reading the Tarot professionally, as it should be, to further the field. This book did not give me cookie-cutter meanings for the cards, thank God, but did give me realistic and inspired ways to go about setting up a business.
Christine Jette's writing style is personal, comfortable, and appealing. This is a woman who's been there and has no airs of self-righteousness. I will read her other works, for sure.
Without giving it away, do yourself a favor and check this book out. If you are really serious about being the best, most ethical, and prepared reader out there, you have to read this.

This is a great book for anyone thinking of going full-time as a Professional Tarot Consultant. Ethics, business management and promotional ideas, and legal info are all overlooked topics that make this book worth buying!

Again, I have to state, this book is for people whom want to make tarot reading their full time career! It is of little to no use to the hobbiest or part-time consultant.

Greetings! This is an excellent book overall with just a few minor things that keep it from getting 5 stars. If you want to know how to start your own tarot business this is the book for YOU! Lots of great content and information, the author really knows her stuff. It seems like she's been around the block quite a few times! Probably the only major downfall in the writing is just her perspective at some points. She does ramble and complain a bit in the beginning how women are so under paid and that they should stand up for themselves when it comes to business. Im not disagreeing with her, it just seems like this book is not the place to do that and it also makes the men feel uncomfortable. Other than that, her nursing background really comes through in the writing which is OK but I would prefer to see it less and more of her tarot background. But this book is still worth the money all around. Best of luck!

This is a very good introduction to the business of being a professional reader. Particular stress is placed on reader ethics, which is a very important topic, and one which merits much attention. In addition, helpful information is given with regard to the nuts and bolts of setting up a practice, securing office space (or not), advertising, developing policies and setting prices. Some discussion is given to overcoming deeply ingrained money issues as they relate to charging clients for your services. Overall, very well thought out.

Some of the material, alas, is a bit outdated -- such things as recommended websites having moved or closed -- but these are minor (and unavoidable) problems with what is a very practical and useful book.

Professional Tarot by Christine Jette is the one book I referred to most often as I was creating both my on-line and live classes and seminars -- in palmistry.

She covers all the key information you need to know to build your spiritual, alternative, metaphysical or related business. From marketing tips to dealing with unsavory clients - she's got your back.

What was of particular interest to me was the meticulous way she lays out seminar topics and advanced classes.

Even though I only dabble in Tarot for my own experience, I do teach palmistry. Having this book at my desk while I was creating my first curriculum was priceless!

A must have for anyone ready to start making money with their skills in esoteric or mystical practices.

This book is one of the cornerstones of my business. I found it at the library, read it, and found it to be a must have. It really opened my eyes to how the business of reading cards is really done. I found out that I was not as prepared as I thought I was but with Christine Jette's help I have my own business up and running! I loved how she gave teaching layouts and reading resources in the back.

Christine Jette gives a very good overview of how to start out reading for others and charging money for it. This book is like taking an expensive class in tarot and having total access to the teacher's opinions and advice on different topics.

I bought this book as a gift for my wife, and she absolutely loves it. She says it's exactly what she needs, and has been looking for, to take her beyond the level of talented amateur.

I ordered this book for my son to help him start his tarot reading buisness. He said it was one of the most informative books he has recieved. Will definately help with any questions he may have had.

Professional Tarot is a great guide if you want to start your own business as a reader. It offers practical as well as insightful tips from the business end to the ethical and moral ramifications involved in psychic counseling.

A must-have for anyone even thinking about going professional. I was impressed and will use it as my guide in setting up my budding business.
