Beautiful, wood chess board of heirloom quality. Very sturdy, heavy and marked in tournament fashion on sides. Large felt circles on bottom of board so as not to scratch the table. Goes perfectly with Stauton No. 5 tournament chess pieces. My 12 year old son, who loves chess, was thrilled to receive the board and pieces for his birthday! When I bought this gift, it was with a notion of buying a gift that would last a lifetime. I honestly see it being in my son's home when he is an adult -- it's that nice. Great elegant gift for the chess lover!

It's nice looking quality Chess board, but the main image shown on Amazon and the box it comes in is a misrepresentation! Don't expect to see any number and letter notation on the board or anywhere in the box. If you want that on a chess board, you might want to look elsewhere!
