This self-teaching video program has been designed by a certified educator to provide a modern alternative to the cardboard flash card methods proven highly effective in the past. It builds upon those "flash" learning methods through the intelligent use of what is widely regarded as a child’s favorite medium – television.
Professor Harold’s Video Flash Cards™ enables children to develop confidence in their ability to learn. Most importantly, they enjoy a full sight and sound experience when they learn from the "tutor in the TV!"
Educational practices have shown that this visual and auditory repetition of basic facts helps children build their knowledge. So Professor Harold’s Video Flash Cards™ uses this back-to-basics approach.
This program is designed with specific learning objectives and includes three progressive mastery levels. Once your child has mastered the fundamentals of math, the way is paved for a better understanding in school.
In addition, the freeze frame (or, "pause") capability of your VCR or DVD player makes it easy for your child to answer at the speed they feel most comfortable. Thus the program encourages them to build their knowledge at their own pace, which in turn enables them to enjoy learning.
One or more children can use this program, with or without parental participation. Two or more children together can make it a game.
