Profile is a fast paced book that I started on Saturday afternoon and read 85% by 2AM. The next morning I woke up thinking about the book and finished it. It was very interesting in the way the story was told from the view of the killer and the FBI agent. The way the killer watched Lindsey at night while she went through her nightly routine as she turned out the lights and he stood outside her bedroom window watching her sleep should be a warning to everyone. Close the curtains and hang blinds.

I picked this book up for free not expecting too much. It turned out to be an awesome story. There is a little swearing for those of you who don't like that but I am not sure it would be enough to deter you from reading the book. It is at appropriate times and really it is kept to a bare minimum. There are a few bedroom scenes but there is not much of it and it is not described to the nth degree.I also loved how the author wove the story together. You are pretty sure what is going on but there are a few other things going on at the same time so you are not positive who the serial killer is until the story is about 90% through. I know some people don't like to know until the last couple of pages but in this story it is totally understandable and you won't be disappointed to know at that point. I also liked that there were no loose endings except for the fact that I would have like to know a little more about one of characters which I won't mention because I don't want to spoil anything. All in all, anyone who loves a good mystery (specially serial killings) should love this book. It is a story that you want to read all at once so don't start it if you don't have a couple of hours to read it! I can't wait to read the other books by this author.

A Fan For Life,
This review is from: Profile (Kindle Edition)
This book is full of suspense. A page turner. And a good mystery. I hope C. D. Blizzard brings some of these characters back in another book. I think a series with this FBI agent would be nice. C. D. Blizzard is a fantastic writer. Every one of her books keeps me engaged and interested. Well done plot, scary bad guy. As you can see, I am a fan for life.

So far C.D. Blizzard has proven to be one of my favorite authors. Profile is a good suspense, mystery, thriller novel and gets into the mind of serial killer. Got goose bumps thinking about it. Enjoyed the characters and story. I recommend it!

Special Agent Joe Cross of the Federal Bureau of Investigations scrambles to find a killer who represents his biggest failure to date. Twelve years ago, a man killed a young girl and got away with it. Now he's at it again. But this time Joe is determined not to fail. Leaving his family behind, he travels to Florida and begins the arduous task of sifting through impossible evidence in an unfamiliar environment. The killer expertly evades the local talent, leaving nothing behind as evidence, but his obsession with a woman of innocent appeal may become his inevitable ruin. As the killer slowly loses himself in the strong urges to kill, he fights for normalcy, despising that part of himself that he keeps hidden from the world, wanting what he knows he can never have. Only his victims know his identity, and they aren't speaking anymore. He's never failed, and he's convinced he never will. He is untouchable, untraceable, unstoppable. |
