The glue on the pads wasn't good enough and one of the pads fell off after a year or so. The design of the elbow cups does not give these bars a secure feel. Comparing this bar to a Syntace bar (C2) that I purchased on closeout is like comparing a department store bike to a real road bike. They both work, but the design, quality, weight, comfort, and secure feel is sometimes worth extra money.

The other Profile products I have owned - three stems, an older aerobar, and bottle holder all had issues. The stems weighed more than the advertised weight and pressed unevenly on the headset bearings. The old aerobar adjustment mechanism wasn't secure, and the older, behind-the-seat bottle holder could not hold the angle of the bottles.

I dont see why everyone has any issues with this. I got these in recently and have used them quite heavily with no issues. The bars had some pull initially but I just tightened everything and now its fine. I guess most people here didn't have the screws tight enough. IT says to use a torque wrench and I did I made it 88 instead of 80 like what it said and its perfectly fine now.
I did read what people said about the arm wrests and put superglue on first, then slapped the pads on with the pad's own adhesive. Should stick on for years now. If not, they make superglue for a reason.
The only thing I dislike is the weight. Compared to other areo bars, this one is heavy. You get what you pay for and carbon fiber is double price. Otherwise this does its job.
Also, if you have a computer, I put it on the top in the center of the aero bar where the 2 bars are connected. It looks awesome there and is at a perfect viewing angle, food for though.
Overall, very very impressed for the price. No issues with bar sliding around, however I did tighten it more than specified in the manual. As far as the arm rests, I used superglue on top of the included adhesive. No problems!

First use was a centruty ride with 8000+ elevation. We know that aero bars are normally for TT or Tri, but 1) it gave me a different position when riding such a long distance, 2) on the level road, I gained an extra 2-4 MPH and 3) it helped me fly on the downhills! Easy to mount, easy to learn, and you won't find it cheaper anywhere else. Only downside it that you cant shift when in the tucked position, but then if you're looking for that, you can always get straight clip-on bars. Still a great investment for entry-intermidiate level rider.

Good sturdy bars, have run them through miles of training and one tri already, with no problems. As info, since the product descriptions can be somewaht vauge; the elbow rests on this model are not the "spring loaded" type and do not adjust out of the way to allow access to the upper handle bar grips.

One of the critical measurements of aerobars is the distance from the center of the nose to the center of the handlebars. These are 280mm which is very short. Compare them to my old Scott bars which are 330mm. I'm 6' tall and when I get down on these aerobars I feel cramped and it's uncomfortable. I like to roll my hips forward when I go aero and I can't with these. The design also consumes the entire flat section of my handlebars which means I can't mount lights or a computer there. I mounted my computer on the nose of the aerobar and bought a Topeak bar extender to hold the lights. If you're about 5'6" and don't plan on using lights these may work for you, but they were a waste of money for me.

Build quality seems adequate - better than those $30 aerobars you can buy. The only thing you can adjust is the distance between the elbow cups - there are three different widths, and the rotation of the cups. At this price I expected more. Note there is a 50mm gap between the bars. If you want to add a transverse computer mount you cannot use the 60mm length.

These were my first set of aerobars and I will never own a roab bike without them again. They were a little tricky to put on (a second set of hands would help), but once on I have had no issues with them besides the occasional squeek. They are heavy and block the top of the handlebars, so they can compromise manuverability. I did an ironman last year and they were great, but I did get a little jealous seeing some of the other bars out there that cost more than my bike. I like the turned in direction of the grips on the century bars for longer rides and the cushioning was sufficient. No bar end shifters make gear changes a bigger commitment than other aerobars. My new tri bike has Profile T1+ bars and they much more comfortable but twice the price. The weight savings of the more expensive bars is only about 10% over these and the gel pads on other bars are more comfortable. So you have to decide how much more you want to spend to be a little more comfortable and a little weight savings. My guess is that if you are looking at $60 aerobars, you are not a biker that is counting every gram. Happy Riding.

I really like these aerobars. I experience hand numbness on a pretty regular basis, so these allow me to get off of my hands, to allow numbness to dissipate and feeling to return. One of the two arm cradles did crack, but the company was very good about replacing it, no questions asked. This is not the first set of aerobars I've used from this manufacturer, and I would recommend them to anyone who wants or needs this option on a road bike.
