I own two of these, but they are branded as Air King 8605 2-Speed Portable Low Profile Die-Cast Heater. The Lasko and Air King units are identical, but you'll find the Air King model is frequently priced at $30.00 less than the Lasko, even though they are identical units, made in China. They are quiet and very efficient, putting out a legitimate 5000 BTUs of heat.

This is truly an excellent heater, we have had it for 5 years now and it still works like a champ. We use it to heat our larger bedroom with very high vaulted ceilings and it is VERY quiet, we cant even hear it at all. It generates so much heat, its amazing. Will definitely buy Lasko again, I am looking for a smaller heater for my son's room now.

I bought this heater recently for my room, as it was getting quite cold in the early morning time. This heater did a good job with a consistent heat, the two operating modes are also good, and the thermostat function is also very useful feature. All in all an excellent heater.

We are using this to maintain temperature in a wine making room. The heater thermostat keeps the temperature at 70 degF plus or minus 3 degrees. Very good for a device being used for a technical application. We expecially like that the size of the unit is large enough that the surface does not get particularily hot and is high enough off the floor that good air circulation is achieved. Our room stays well within our needed parameters without any attention.
