Book Description

Like much of our best contemporary fiction, Profiles in Courageousness began life as Twilight fan fiction. However, when Jack Kimble realized that what his country needed most was a clarion call to patriotism, he soon began telling the story of his dramatic rise from the son of wealthy businessman to even greater wealth as the Representative from California's 54th District.

Jack's unique compassionate conservatism offers the answers to some of the biggest problems facing our country from business stifling child labor laws to our need for energy independence. At the same time, Jack's story shows an American family's epic struggle to overcome a tragic tiger mauling and reconnect through their faith in each other and the country they love so dearly.

While Jack Kimble's politics are clearly conservative, people of all political stripes will enjoy reading of the humanity that lies beneath this great man and the ties that bind us all together as Americans.

Editorial Reviews

"Kimble's book is self-righteous, stone-faced, and hilariously unaware of its ridiculous notions, both in its memoir section and political platform section. It's some of the best, most airtight political satire in years. Get on board with a real American, America." --

5.0 out of 5 stars While Ohio Slept November 9, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Tuesday, while Ohio and many other states slept, an evil presence took over our country. We awoke to fear and loathing and rioting and the seeming end of traditional America and its wholesome values. My friends, don't let Tuesday's loss frighten you. Out of the darkness arises Representative Jack Kimble from California's Fighting 54th District. Unlike the disgraced Romney, Kimble is a millionaire's son who is succeeding amid our persecution. His simple life story and stirring rhetoric will make you believe in traditional America again. We, the oppressed, will rise again and Jack Kimble will light the way. You must buy this book -- for yourself, for your children, for the country we love and have lost. It shall be ours again. Thank you Representative Kimble for sending a lifeline to us values voters when we needed it most.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant December 26, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Jack Kimble is an amazing congress critter. He's the conservative Kennedy, and has great plans for this country. Even Stephen Colbert is jealous of Rep. Kimble. Give this book a try. You won't regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Satire August 29, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I first met Representative Kimble through his twitter profile. While it's easy at first to liken him to Chuck Grassley, he's more Shakespeare meets Colbert than dim-witted politician.

Profiles in Couragenousness a great read, and if you're thinking about ordering it you should do yourself a favor and do so. Jack is great because he never lets up, and he always surprises you with his deep reservoir of wit and great references. The best books make you laugh and think, and this easily clears both bars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Putting the 'Human' back into Post-Human America! December 9, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Jack Kimble's account of a 'grudge match' between Hell's Angels and some senior citizens is, for me, the icing on the cake.
What's the cake?
The cake is a land I call Post-Human America.
Wars for oil.
Wars for money.
A war against terror.
The Bush-Cheney War Against Terror began on September 11, 2001.
Post-Human America.
Up is down.
'Gangsters, thugs, and smugglers are thoroughly respected.'
Do Post-Human endeavors like the TEA Party, and the Bush-Cheney oil crusade, have a basis in reality?
Yes and no.
Don't just puzzle over 21st century poltiics.
Save yourself a headache.
Read "Profiles in Courageousness," and start connecting the dots!

5.0 out of 5 stars I Laughed out loud; Too loud. October 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I had the pleasure of meeting Rep. Kimble through Twitter, and based on the gems he comes up with on the Interwebs, I thought I'd enjoy his book as well.
This book is brilliant.
I would discourage you from reading this book on a bus full of strangers. I got more than my share of looks as I read about his upbringing on Rancho Podrido (which he says is Spanish for "Beautiful Oasis").
I cannot recommend this book enough.

More About the Author

Jack Kimble is the Congressman from California's faux 54th District. In reality he is the brainchild of a Chicago school teacher. Kimble began making a name for himself on both Twitter and the blogosphere in 2009 with his unique brand of political satire. By 2010 he had gained acclaim for duping both The Huffington Post and the Washington Post within a single month. Admirers of Jack Kimble include members of Congress, comedians, liberals, and even discerning conservatives, who appreciate Jack's humor that often takes right wing talking points to a hilarious conclusion.
