5.0 out of 5 stars Captivating History of Inshore and Offshore Fishing, January 19, 2000
By
This review is from: Profiles in Saltwater Angling : A History of the Sport - Its People and Places, Tackle and Techniques (Hardcover)
This book is just amazing. Its more than four hundred pages and I tore threw it in two days. Especially good were the chapters concerning striped bass fishing in the Northeast. I also enjoyed the chapters that included an interview-style format where the reader can get a better feel for various fishing personalities. Get this book here or somewhere. If your bored this winter, this will keep you entertained.

This is one of my favorite books. It's a history of saltwater sport fishing and I can't imagine any fisherman who fishes in the salt wouldn't love this book. I call it my waiting room book because I loose time when I read it so it's perfect for doctor, dentist or other waiting rooms when I don't know how long I'll have to sit.
