1.0 out of 5 stars CHEAP, September 6, 2007
By
Lisa Chesters "Lisa" (Barrington, IL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Profitable Publishing: How to Start a Home-Based Publishing Business (Ring-bound)
This was not a book. This was a cheap binder with xeroxed copies in it. They were not even printed on two sides, making this seem even more cheap. The author inserted a printed-like resume in the pocket of the binder. The front and back cover of the binder was a lasar-printed cover inserted into the plastic.

I could not very well believe an author who would pass off this cheap binder as a book. If I were to have a home-based publishing business, I would at least go the route of finding a book printer. This author thinks it is okay to not do this. The result--lousy feedback like this.

Note to author: Find a book printer/binder that would make this a real book or publish with a "print-on-demand" company that would make this a real book. Don't make people pay $29 for your xeroxed copies. People will feel like I do, dupped and untrusting of even reading the information.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Information Source, September 24, 2006

This review is from: Profitable Publishing: How to Start a Home-Based Publishing Business (Ring-bound)
It is an excellent in depth look at publishing as a whole. This has everything that you need to get started, and the author puts it in an easy to read format that answers all your questions.
My only complaint is that its huge and bulky so its a bit hard to bring it on the subway with me, where I do most of my reading.
But If you are looking for information about the publishing world or looking to start your own Publishing house, this is a must read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Flipping Houses For Dummies, May 12, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Profitable Publishing: How to Start a Home-Based Publishing Business (Ring-bound)
The information in the book is very good for beginners. However, the book is very long. I recieved this book around January and I am still reading the contents of this book. (However, I am reading it mostly on the weekends.) If you want to learn the all the basic details of flipping houses, I would recommend this book.
