From the Publisher

Versatility Wins In Shifting Sound and Music Production Business

They are recording music one day, a radio/TV commercial tomorrow, post a video tape after that, then do the sound and music for a Web site—pushing the “Project Studio Revolution”, as Jeffrey Fisher calls it. In an industry where the major commercial recording studios focus on essential tasks and out-source everything else, versatility is the key to survival for small independent studios.

In PROFITING FROM YOUR MUSIC AND SOUND PROJECT STUDIO, one of the most accomplished movers and shakers of the project studio landscape reveals how to “turn your career and gear into a money making machine.”

With PROFITING FROM YOUR MUSIC AND SOUND PROJECT STUDIO, musicians, producers, engineers, sound designers, voice artists, and other audio professionals will learn how to establish, promote, and manage the ultimate one-stop audio soundtrack shop. From acquiring vital resources and gear, evaluating market opportunities and diversifying one’s skills to pricing and promoting one’s services, Jeffrey Fisher leaves no stone unturned as he equips readers to turn their vision into an efficient, moneymaking production venture.

Fulfilling this vision has probably never been easier, with prices for high quality recording technology having reached a revolutionary low. The competitive edge, according to Fisher, is now about actually profiting from this equipment. With PROFITING FROM YOUR MUSIC AND SOUND PROJECT STUDIO, music creatives across all professions can develop the business acumen and cutting-edge versatility that will transform their project studio into a lucrative and satisfying business.
