I had a Waterpik, which costs over $50 and after a year using it, I can say that it's not convenience due to: it's bulky, need to fill up with warm water every time, and a power outlet is needed. I don't have space on the bathroom counter for it, so it must be stored away every time. It also very noisy when the electric pump is running. Due to these issues, I didn't use it often enough. I wanted to find something that I could easily connect to the faucet and floss my teeth anytime I want, without the hassle of carry the Waterpik boxes and fill it with warm water.I decided to try the Profloss Waterjet, and love it. It is well built and installation is simple. The faucet aerator adapter is included. After used, just press a button on the aerator and release the tube and the hand held unit from the faucet. Some buyers had negative review for this product based on their bad experience with the installation. I think their problem is due to their very old faucets, which do not have the modern standard 15/16" male or female thread for the aerator adaptor. Most houses today have kitchen and bathroom faucets with either male or female 15/16" thread, and this product has the dual (male/female) thread aerator included. If your faucet is the old style, here is the place to get the adaptor to convert it to the modern 15/16" thread: [...]

My dentist suggested I buy a Waterpik but when I went to the store and saw it cost over $50, I decided to search the web to see if there was a more affordable option. Found the Profloss. It doesn't have all the "bells and whistles" but it works (and at half the cost!) Initially I was a little leary about having to remove my faucet aerator and replace it with the Profloss aerator but I have to admit it was easy to do and now I can snap on the Profloss waterjet anytime.

For the money and convienence this is a great product. I love that it is compact and easy to store away. It is not taking up alot of counter space in my bathroom. It has sufficient power. I have sensitive teeth and am able to control the water temperature so that my teeth can tolerate the jet which allows me to do a better job of irrigation. Not alot of moving parts or contraptions so I am anticipating a long life from this little jewel.
