I had a Waterpik, which costs over $50 and after a year using it, I can say that it's not convenience due to: it's bulky, need to fill up with warm water every time, and a power outlet is needed. I don't have space on the bathroom counter for it, so it must be stored away every time. It also very noisy when the electric pump is running. Due to these issues, I didn't use it often enough. I wanted to find something that I could easily connect to the faucet and floss my teeth anytime I want, without the hassle of carry the Waterpik boxes and fill it with warm water.
I decided to try the Profloss Waterjet, and love it. It is well built and installation is simple. The faucet aerator adapter is included. After used, just press a button on the aerator and release the tube and the hand held unit from the faucet. Some buyers had negative review for this product based on their bad experience with the installation. I think their problem is due to their very old faucets, which do not have the modern standard 15/16" male or female thread for the aerator adaptor. Most houses today have kitchen and bathroom faucets with either male or female 15/16" thread, and this product has the dual (male/female) thread aerator included. If your faucet is the old style, here is the place to get the adaptor to convert it to the modern 15/16" thread: [...]

Awesome product! Affordable too : ),

My dentist suggested I buy a Waterpik but when I went to the store and saw it cost over $50, I decided to search the web to see if there was a more affordable option. Found the Profloss. It doesn't have all the "bells and whistles" but it works (and at half the cost!) Initially I was a little leary about having to remove my faucet aerator and replace it with the Profloss aerator but I have to admit it was easy to do and now I can snap on the Profloss waterjet anytime.

This waterjet only fits one size faucet and does not come with adapters. It says nothing about faucet size in the info. I even tried it on my kitchen faucet, again not the proper size. I feel ripped off because I had to pay return shipping. A big dissapointment!

For the money and convienence this is a great product. I love that it is compact and easy to store away. It is not taking up alot of counter space in my bathroom. It has sufficient power. I have sensitive teeth and am able to control the water temperature so that my teeth can tolerate the jet which allows me to do a better job of irrigation. Not alot of moving parts or contraptions so I am anticipating a long life from this little jewel.

Purchased the ProFloss Dental Waterjet for $20. & change (S/H included). Mine was fulfilled by DB ROTH (excellent, prompt service).
I'm a product research nut and considered products up to the $50. range. I bought this brand because of the many positive reviews. I installed and used it for the first time - all in LESS than 5 minutes - and I'm not especially handy. Faucet replacement is better than the one I had. It doesn't make the faucet so long that it's obtrusive and seems always in the way, as did some I considered. No need to remove it between uses. Attachment really does 'snap in' easily, as advertised, as do the jet pieces to the coiled hose. Each has a little 'button' on the side to open unit for easy on and off. The power of the stream, also as advertised, adjusts to the flow and temperature you set on your faucet. Best of all - it easily snaps off for storage. It even came with a zip lock bag, along with extra washers and an additional 'jet'. I can't believe all the years I stuck with the messy, space and outlet-hogging Water Pik. Never again! Great gadget. Works well. Good bargain. Buy it.

This is the best substitute for the old style waterjet...easy hookup and no noise while using it. I bought 3 mores for Christmas gift and my family love it. All their kids have braces so they use it a lot.

This has to be the best water flosser I've found. I tried a removable-battery type but within 6 months water had gotten into the battery compartment and it died. Then I tried one with rechargeable batteries that you didn't put in and and take out and it came with a charger. But the same thing happened to it as within 6 months it died too as water somehow got into it and rusted it. Then I found this one and it is the perfect answer. It screws into your faucet (it screwed in perfectly and simply in my bathroom faucet) and there are NO batteries. It's also the cheapest out there, being $15-50 less than the battery-operated ones. Thank you so much ProFloss for this fantastic product! You saved my teeth.

Adapter problems,

Having problems finding the right adapter. The hardware store man spent at least 20 minutes with the fitting from the Pro-flosser and my fitting from my faucet trying to find a fit. Nothing worked. I went to the website and they offer nothing about adapters. Might be great if you have the right size faucet. Site says 15/16" female or 55/64" male.

This thing works great. 4 speeds for gentle or tough gums. Item description doesn't explain that you have to remove the aerator (little piece where water comes through) but once you pull this thing out and slap-in the included quick-connect aerator it works great! Leaves your gums and teeth with that same feeling you have when you leave the dentist (not the painful one lol).
Too Long; Didn't Read (Overview) - Works great, inexpensive, easy install if you have a pair of pliers!

Easy and works perfect,
This review is from: Profloss 4190 Waterflosser (Tools & Home Improvement)
I read other reviews to different waterjets, and although there aren't many reviews for this one, this product works great!
It is super easy to install, took me 2 minutes and I'm the most unhandiest person ever (trust me). It is a simple product, plugs in to sink then unplug when done. No water container to fill! :) And takes up very little space. I bought mine at bed bath and beyond, taget also sells it, amongst with other stores, but all as far as I know online purchase only. So I figured I would buy mine there, and if I didn't like it then it would be an easy return. Well.....I'm keeping it, as far as now. It worked really good on my gums and between my teeth. The product has 4 speeds which is pretty cool. I used speed 2 and it seemed to work perfect for me. When I was done my mouth felt like I just had a dental cleaning, and I can def compare since I did have a dental cleaning 2 weeks ago. My gums are like throbing a little from being cleaned. Sine I don't floss, this device seemed like it cleaned between my teeth, and I can tell because between my teeth at the gum line I was bleeding as if I used floss and went to hard into my gums. I know bleeding gums are bas, so I need to be more careful, but I just couldn't believe how well this product worked between my teeth. If you don't buy this, you are missing out. Really only took two minutes to make my mouth feel like new. |
