*Note* You may see this review on more than one size of this product. That is because I used it on a bunch of my pets and they were different weights :)

After experiencing a flea infestation and trying just about every product out there (I did NOT use a flea bomb), this product saved my sanity! Along with it's partner - Capstar - I can say I have no more fear of a flea infestation.

Program is a pill your pet takes once a month for preventative measures. The Capstar is a pill you give your pet at the first sighting of a flea. It says it starts to work within 1/2 hour, mine worked even faster.

I don't know that you can say any more - these products were awesome! I will never use another product as, in my opinion, this one will save you time and money in the long run. Your pet will agree!

As a side note - I overheard my vet telling a client that the flea bombs are worthless and not to use them as they do not actually get into the cracks and crevices where fleas and their eggs hide.

One other note is to remember to wash all your bedding and vacuum everywhere (especially your furniture and under beds and furniture with open bottoms) in your house if you have a flea infestation. Seeing a couple fleas on your animals may or may not warrant that. Also remember to empty your vacuum cleaner right away after vacuuming and dispose of the bag or contents in a bag, seal and put in a garbage can ASAP so the live fleas do not get back out and reinfest your home.

"Program" by Novartis is very effective in controlling fleas for the long term, but only after they are brought under control in the home and yard and on the pet with some type of insecticide - as Program does not kill adult fleas. I like Program because it is not an insect poison, but rather breaks the life cycle of the flea so that when an adult lays its zillions of eggs, these never mature into adults but die as larva.

They die because the active ingredient in Program does not allow them to form the proper exoskeleton or chitin. In my research of this chemical, it was stated that no known amount of it ingested by a human would hurt a human. That was good enough for me. I would rather not have my dogs full of insecticide all the time, like with a product like FrontLine, if possible. Also, since we live near a river, Frontline seemed to get washed off all the time, reducing its effectiveness so that I could not control fleas. Then I found out about Program and all is well for several years now with three big dogs on 1 1/2 fenced acres.

If you have ticks, however, as we do, you may want to supplement Program with a standard flea collar.

The service from the seller was great, and this product has never failed me with my two large-breed dogs who otherwise are nice bait for fleas and ticks. They live indoors with me, and make summers and dry seasons here in the South so much more enjoyable. Easy once-a-month treatment, and unlike topical treatments, you can bathe them/let them swim/get wet without worrying about the treatment's effectiveness.

This is a great product. It's easy on older dogs and works great. The price is so good I bought a years supply for all 4 of my dogs. If you want protection from fleas this is the one to buy. Trust me I've tried them all.

Bought this for my 30 and 12 lb dogs. Cutting the pills in half/quarter and giving less according to their weights is easy and a good way to save money. This is a safe way to prevent a flea infestation as the drug is not present on my dogs' coat where I could pick it up while petting them. Any fleas they may pick up from the environment will be self-limiting as no eggs can develop and are relatively easy to catch with a comb or a bath.

I have just received my order for 12 months supply of Program White for dogs 46-90 labs, @ $73.50 plus $5.65 shipping.

The two 6-month packs, which arrived by US Mail, were obviously just tossed loose into an oversized flat padded envelope which clearly provided inadequate protection for the contents. The large outer envelope was undamaged, but the two packs of Program were severely crushed, the boxes bent and folded to the extent that they cannot even be closed up again. Yes, the damage no doubt occurred in handling by the Post Office, but would not have happened if the order had been properly packaged by Entirely Pets in the first place - for example, in a *box* such as are readily available from the Post Office. Fortunately, the pills themselves appear to be unbroken, but only because the manufacturer provides a sturdy card with separate covered cells for the pills.

I have used this particular product with good results for years. This was my first order with Entirely Pets, but I purchase a significant amount of dog and cat meds and supplies on line and have never encountered such a problem with other vendors. I am sorry to say I will be reluctant to take another chance with Entirely Pets.

I'VE BEEN USING PROGRAM FOR MY DOGS FOR OVER TWENTY YEARS. MY DOGS NEVER HAVE FLEAS AND NEVER GET THAT ITCHY BALD SPOTS CAUSED FROM FLEAS. GREAT PRODUCT BETTER THAN ADVANTAGE AND ALL OTHERS.

Program works great on cats and dogs (I have a dozen). Best when combined with Capstar. I had a flea epidemic and nothing worked. Sprays, shampoos, frontline, fogs....half my animals had hair loss, weight loss and blistering from different combinations and no luck. Finally, decided to try the pills as a last resort and the problem disappeared in a week with NO side effects - it was amazing. Please note, this does not protect against ticks - need to use something else for that.

Product works great. We were having a lot of trouble with fleas and after just a couple of months using Program along with Frontline we have no fleas.
