I recommend this book to all my students who are getting started in working with the AB SLC 500. This book will give you a great start if you are trying to learn about AB PLCs. I also recommend ... for ActiveX driver software to communicate with AB PLCs. The reason I did not rate it at five stars is because the book is a little pricey and it omits some of the more advanced ladder instructions.

IMHO one of the best books on the market if you want to learn and understand Allen-Bradley PLC controllers.
A lot of other books are similar to the reference books that you can download for Allen-Bradley site for free.
This one actually teaches you programming and also gives you deeper insight in wiring and cabinet layout, and many other related features.
Recommended to co-workers (engineers). They find it very useful too.
Would definitely recomment - worth the hefty price sticker.

Got into the SLC programming world with this book. It was of great help for me and I could finish my SLC projects successfully.
The book contains many examples to get started. The book covers the SLC basics.

Here, we can find a lot examples, of basic Programmable Logical. But, no enough examples using advanced Programming instructions such as, PID, Shift Resister, Sequencer. Excellent book for the beginners.

this book contain good valable notes on PLC's so i like to read more .
