4.0 out of 5 stars The Digigr8 LED Badge - Show Them Your Coolness
In the past there were only two ways that you could display your name and title, either write on a piece of duct tape, or have a shirt printed. I can't tell you how many times people got their shirts printed, but they had a misspelling that ruined the whole batch. I saw these things being sold on Ebay and I knew that I just had to get one. 3.0 out of 5 stars A Good Buy
I really like this product. It is very easy to program. The only thing I do not like about it, is that you have to recharge it every day , even if you aren't using it. Other than that, it is really nice.

They are worth $20.00 and can be bought for $20.00. However, some sellers overcharge and try to get between $40 to $60 bucks for them.

FEATURES: This is the blue LED version, they also have a red and white LED version. I have seen these things come in other colors such as orange and yellow from other brands as well. "Enter" is the on button. Badge can store up to 6 different messages. #1 can store up to 512 characters, and 2 - 6 can store up to 256 characters. Can alter the text, speed of scroll, mode, and lumens from "PU" and "PD" buttons. The badge can be used with two CR2032 or CR2016s batteries as its power supply.

OPERATING: I was confused at first about this, but this unit requires two of these batteries in order to function. First you pull the drawer out the back, place two batteries with the + showing at top, and slide the drawer back into place. The unit will automatically switch on for the first time upon insertion of batteries. In order to make settings changes, you have to press the "PU" or "PD" buttons, they cycle between options. Select which option you want to change, and then you press the "Enter" button.

EXPERIENCE: I am quite impressed with this little device actually. I mean, yeah its a bit of a pain to cycle through the alphabet to select the letters, numbers, or special characters you want, but once you have selected them, its programmed into memory. And since its capable of using several different scroll modes, I can set mode #1 to my name and mode #2 to "Rock On", and mode #3 to "Get Away Sunny, Your Bothering Me." And once saved, you can just switch between them, without the need to re-input the text!

The thing I was worried about, when I bought it, was that I may not be able to change the scroll speed. You can infact change the scroll speed, cause not everybody can read a speeding train, whch is what it looks like at full speed. You can also change the lumen of the display, this is basically the brightness feature. I like to have mine set on Lumen #5, this way it does not burn the batteries down fast. I like my scroll speed set to #4, as I Feel that is fast enough.

The digital badge or name tag if you will, can be attached to your shirt via two ways. You can either attach it via the included pin, or via the magnet. I have been using the magnet, and there has never been a time where I felt the magnet was not strong enough to hold the super light weight digital badge to my shirt.

CONCLUSION: I am more of a "Blue" color fan, so I made sure to buy the blue one, and its incredibly bright display, makes it easy to read. Check out the included picture so that you can get an idea of what it looks like. Considering I made an offer and got it for $15.99, and the fact it came with two extra batteries, I'd say it was money spent. Planning to go to a rock concert? Why don't you pickup one of these, you be glad you did! :)
