3.0 out of 5 stars Learn more about programming languages, December 27, 2007
This review is from: Programming Languages: Principles and Paradigms (Hardcover)
I do a lot of programming of microprocessors and work a lot with Linux writing scripts. I have also done some web programming. My education in computer science is limited. I bought this book so I could learn more about programming languages, how compilers work, etc.. On a college website, I saw it being used as a textbook. The 1st 5 chapters are pretty good, but after there are chapters like "Object Oriented Programming", "Event Programming" which I already know. I'm keeping it. It may help fill in some gaps in those areas. However, I don't consider this a strong book on programming languages.
