Graphics-heavy book,

This book features photos of the home pages of the links it's referencing - two photos per page. These pages are arranged by topic - look at the top of the page (dictionary style) to see where you are. The CD-ROM might be worth the price, but the actual info content of the book (URLs and topics you'll find there) is pretty small. Figure you're getting an index to a thousand specialized web sites, then you decide.
