This review is from: De-Programming Sequence (Audio CD)
Liberation Systems-De-Programming Sequence is certainly a breath of fresh air. Unlike most compilations, all of the tracks on here seem to work together. DJ Spooky delivers one of the album's finest tracks, 'Code Green', which features some cinematic string work over a Massive Attack style beat. DJ Wally sticks to what he does best, straight up hip-hop with some quirky samples. I'm really feelin' the tracks from Shakeyface and Guillermo E Brown...look out for them in the future. Also, Wordsound Records is well represented on here with Spectre, Sensational and Mentol Nomad delivering some dank Brooklyn style ish. Nate Mars, Colorform and Kentyah meets Jodan round out the album with some dubby/ambient jungle. You definitely get your money's worth with this album. Highly Recommended.
