Okay but very simple transcriptions,

This review is from: Progressive Fingerpicking Classics Volume 1 (Book 1) (Paperback)
The book has a nice selection of classical pieces and they are enjoyable to play for a few seconds. However because the pieces are progressive, they range from very simple to slightly simple. So while the melodies are nice, that' all you get. The transcriptions do not do full justice to the beauty of the guitar, and its potential even on an intermediate level to profoundly re-create the work of these composers. I just got this book today, and I have put it up for re-sale on the same day.

This review is from: Progressive Fingerpicking Classics Volume 1 (Book 1) (Paperback)
This book has the best "Classics of the Classics". Written in notation and Tab it has a nice selection of songs that are easily recognizable by everyone. "Easier" to intermediate level. Start playing the "classics" right away. I love this book and play from it all the time and I've been playing for a long time. Although some of the songs aren't "complete" works, it has the "meat" of the song. You won't be disappointed. I have a few of the songs, from this book, posted on Youtube (van1976). Check it out for yourself.
