I'd been working with only a liquid measuring cup for too long, so I bought these because I knew they'd fit in my drawers. I wasn't sure how sturdy they would be, but I'm not worried about that now that I've used them for a couple months. When they're expanded, you might not even know they're collapsible. And there are only two possible positions--collapsed and expanded--so it's not like they will give different measurements if you somehow mangle them (something I had been irrationally concerned about).

The magnets are a nice touch, I suppose, but only the 1/4 and 1/3 cups are light enough to stay put on my fridge, so the other three sit in the drawer sticking to my measuring spoons.

Edit: The lettering on the measuring cups was pretty much unreadable after about a year, so I have to compare the sizes to tell which is which. Still love 'em, though.

Very useful product for measuring nearly any ingredient you need. The magnets stick very well and aren't light or flimsy in their feel. I tend to think people underestimate feel of a product and these feel very nice and of decent quality.

I use these things multiple times a week for things as simple as instant oatmeal. Very handy and convenient.

The collapsing of the cups are a little stiff, but it's hardly worth mentioning.

After having to deal with non-collapsible measuring cups for umpteen years and having them clutter up my drawers, I decided that I would start anew and get myself some of these fancy collapsible measuring cups. Thank goodness I did! I recently moved to a small apartment, where cabinet and drawer space is prime real estate. Without these guys, I would have easily had to use up a significant portion of what little space I had. These guys collapse and stack to take up very little room at all. They are magnetized so they stay together and I won't lose one. I don't stick mine on the fridge, so can't say if that works, but for what I use them for, they're gems. The measurements do come off after washing (even though I hand wash), but I will just have to keep them stacked properly and I should have no problem picking out the size I need. They're easy to wash and don't get oily even though I do use them sometimes for wet measurements. I haven't calibrated them yet, but everything I've made with them has turned out great. I love Progressive and their little gadgets have got me hooked! Keep up the good work!!!

These are awesome measuring cups. The only thing is that the 3/4 cup and 1 cup are too heavy/big to use the magnet to hold them up. Otherwise, I love how these break down!

I have limited space. When I saw collapsible measuring cups, which I really needed, I got them. I didn't even read in the description that the handle tips were magnetized. What a bonus!!!

These measuring cups are perfect and take up very little space. I would recommend to anyone.

I have owned these measuring cups for two years and they have been washed many times in the dishwasher. They are still in perfect condition! I can still read the labels perfectly and the magnets still work great. I have 4 or 5 sets of measuring cups, and these are definitely my favorite. I would replace the other sets, but I'm just too cheap to throw them out and buy more of these!

I compared the stack of 5 Progressive International measuring cups with a stack of 4 standard Rubbermaid (I think) measuring cups, and the Progressive cups took up less room! Even if they didn't save space, it seems like whenever I stack up the standard cups and put them in a drawer, they tend to tip over slightly within the stack and get caught as the drawer opens and closes.

Plus, if you take one cup out of the stack of standard cups, they won't fit securely anymore and the smaller cups will tilt into the bigger cups, making the handles stick up (if that makes sense.) With these magnetic, collapsible cups, it doesn't matter which cup is missing, they will still fit together closely and securely.

The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is simply because I sometimes grab my other measuring cups out of sheer laziness- I don't feel like popping open the collapsed cup, so I grab one that is all ready! I know, that sure is lazy! In all honesty, the cups are a little stiff to open, but it's really not a big deal. I really do recommend these measuring cups!

These work beautifully. They seem sturdy (by that, I mean I doubt my little ones could damage them beyond use - which is saying something), and the shape is well-suited to pouring and measuring. The only drawback is that they don't really balance well on their own. Because the bottom is tapered, the handles tend to weigh the cups down and tilt them over. This isn't a problem once a cup is full, however. Also, the handles are magnetic, which makes them much easier to keep organized.
The bizarre thing was that, when the cups arrived, the smallest one had a sticker placed inside of it, on the bottom, and it was NOT one of those that peels off easily. Normally, I would just use acetone nail polish remover on a sticker like that, however, polish remover can damage plastic. So, I had to get the sticker off with my fingers, and then the inside of the cup was sticky, and really not useable until I had scraped and scrubbed ALL of the sticky residue out of it.
The manufacturer really should reconsider the placement of the sticker, but otherwise a very good product.

I ordered these for my wife for xmas and she loves them. The magnets on the handles are stronger and more useful than I thought they'd be. I gave it 4 stars only because another reason I bought these was to minimize junk in our kitchen drawers, but these turned out to stack just as high(when compressed) as a standard plastic cup set.

I first saw the ingenious collapsible measuring cup when I was at Sur La Table at The Ferry Building in San Francisco. I was so keen to the idea I almost bought a set. However, as anyone should know specialty kitchen stores are to be avoided due to their prices. So I did what anyone would do, come on here. Sure enough I found these space saving treasures. They come clearly marked with their measurements and fall almost completely flat until you need them. Then just press and pop them out and after your done pop them back into their slim form. I recommend this for anyone and everyone. Great product!
