Best dish drainer for small apartments,

This review is from: Progressive International Collapsible Over the Sink Dish Drainer (Kitchen)
I was sick of my old Rubbermaid dish drainer after moving to a place with less counter top space - I ended up trying to use it as an over the sink dish drainer to much annoyance of my wife and I. We decided to give this product a chance as it is collapsible and not made out of metal which might rust. Originally we were concerned whether it would fit in our sink as the product dimensions weren't specific on the dimensions which go into your sink: 11.5"x10.5"x4.25" is the answer. It should fit most sinks well. The interior (usable) space of this dish strainer is 12.5"x10.5"x4" The silverware strainer which is attached is nice to be able to remove when you don't need it as removing it frees up 3" of the interior space. When collapsed it only about 2" thick. In the two weeks we've owned it, it is holding up rather well. The collapsible portion is silicone, much like collapsible collanders made by OXO or Progressive, and appears to be sturdy. It hasn't shown any signs of stretching or giving when placing heavy pans in the dish drainer. I will report back in a couple of months to report on its durability. The dish drainer is a nice neutral shade of gray, allowing it to easily blend in with stainless steel sinks.
Edit: After 5 months it has held up great, despite overloading this dish drainer (Think a Jenga Tower of dishes, glasses, pots and pans) on a regular basis. The only gripe that I have is the silverware holder - it occasionally will fold down due to the silverware holder only being held up on 4 points. There are some mineral deposits building up near the drain holes but that seems to be our hard water. I could see it being an issue if you have significant rust in your water it would appear unsightly.

OK Product because of major design setback,

Durable, collapsible, easy to clean and fits nicely in my sink. Takes up very little space, which is ideal in apartment settings such as my own.
The major downside is it has a hard time holding the plates vertically. This is probably because the grooves are not deep enough and you are left with having to play a game of Jenga to make sure they don't topple over.

Storage Space Solution,

I've put off buying a dish drainer for many years because I didn't want to sacrifice the space under my sink for its storage. I am so glad I decided to give this one a try. It pops open and shut quite easily by pushing it against my countertop. The drainer rests inside the sink so you must be willing to give up a portion of sink space. While the ends pull out far enough to easily reach both sides of the sink, they don't yet slide smoothly -- I have to kind of rock them out. A small inconvenience which doesn't add more than a couple of seconds to the set-up. The silverware section isn't particularly easy to snap into place -- I don't need it so I've simply removed it because it can be quickly popped in and out of the drainer. I have a dishwasher, so my every-day manual dishwashing is limited to cutting-boards, pots and pans and sharp knives. The collapsible drainer drains dishes very well and completely empties itself of water so that it can be quickly dried and stored. When collapsed the drainer is 2" high, so I can stack it on-edge under my sink without having to rearrange anything. If the handles and the silverware section worked a little more smoothly, this would be a 5-star review.
