This set of "butter warmers" are an excellent way to serve resturant style dinners in the comfort of your own home. Whether it is butter sauce for crab legs or lobster or warm chocolate sauce for ice cream or cheesecake, you can't beat this set. The dishes are large enough to handle a quantity needed for dinner. My husband has found that they are a great accessory for his hot air popcorn popper. The prices is extrememly reasonable. I even found a matching fondue set to finish this display. Once you use these you will wonder how you ever made it without them. The tea light refills are very afforable and more versatile that sterno. I have 2 sets and plan to order more before the holidays. I can't wait to make my holiday eggs benedict for the family and use these warmers for the holandaise sause. No more re-heating butters and sauces in the middle of the meal.

These work well and keep the butter nice and warm while adding a nice touch to the presentation. I use them often and love them. The ramekins are good for other uses as well.

These will do the job, but they are somewhat short, so the butter boils and then burns pretty easily. You just have to pay attention during dinner so as to blow out and then relight the candle as needed. It is kind of annoying when you are absorbed in a pile of crab legs or a nice Maine lobster, and carrying on in conversation with your guests. However, for as infrequently as we use these, I couldn't justify spending much more on a nicer set. (I have three sets)For all I know, the nice ones have the same problem.

The large bowl allows for a lot of melted butter to be served. The stand is sturdy, the bowls are attractive and blend in with any china or everyday dishes. Candle flame is low enough the butter will not scorch and burn. Cleanup is a snap.

These butter warmers do exactly what you need them to do. They are definately adequate to keep everyone's butter warm . I had seen past reviews of the flame scorching the bottom of the ramakin and this did happen to one of mine. However, the butter did not burn and i was able to wash most of the black scorch from the ceramic dish.For the price these are well worth it.

I bought these for my sister and she absolutely loves them! She uses them for artichokes, lobster and crab legs. They are perfect!

Worked well. Easy to clean. Its four instead of a five stars because i think the flame sits just a little bit to close to the container since it blackened after the first use.

If you're going to have lobster, you need hot melted butter at the table. I've bought ones before that were too hot and bubbled the butter to the point of burning it. These are perfect and a must have for lobster-eaters.

It was the first time I prepared this recipe of marinated chicken which was from an old favorite restaurant. The butter warmer sets were just the perfect addition to this wonderful meal and made it seem QUITE professional. Highly recommend them!

These are fun to use and they DO keep your butter warm - however, they also can burn the butter if you're not careful. They do a lot to set the scene, though, and if you're willing to keep an eye on them they do make a fancy dinner even nicer.
