It's very tall for a grater, and the knob on the top fits right into you palm, and it makes grating very easy. I've had this for over a year now.., no sign of rust or aging. It's held up well.., no dents or dings and the black feet and top are holding up just fine.

I'd easily say this is the best grater I've ever had. It's very simple, yet very practicle. The way it's in a pyramid shape.., I haven't shredded a knuckle yet. I like the sizes of the holes.., I shred a lot of ginger and it works really well for that. (Hint, if you're going to shred ginger get a big hunk, rub off the peel with a spoon, (yes really, it works), and then freeze it before you shred it)

This is an amazing piece of kitchen equipment! After years of shaving off my fingernails or fingertips using different graters, or having them slip off the plate I'm grating onto... this is truly a pleasure to behold (and to be held!) The triangular design along with the little rubber feet make it incredibly stable while grating anything from cheddar to ginger to chocolate. The knob is big enough to be comfortable without cramping your hand... and all it really takes is just a bit of pressing down from the top to keep it steady. I gave these as Christmas presents, and got rave reviews!

Hash browns. I'm a pretty good cook but hash browns have been perplexing me. The first step was to obtain a potato ricer to strain and remove the water from the shredded potatoes (just to wring the water out, not like how it's used for mashed potatoes) and the second step was to get a good grater, I was sick of skinning my knuckles and wearing my wrist sore with my flat one.

This grater is great. I can shred a potato in a fraction of the time that it took with my old grater, and I love the bigger than normal holes on the one side (it has the other typical shred sizes too, with one larger one).

Now my hash browns rock the house!

Works great for cheese, too.

Pros: stable, large surface area. Cons: not the sharpest cutting. We'll keep it because it's better than our last box grater. We used to have one with rotating cylinder & at the end, it left a slice of cheese that wouldn't grate & got stuck.

It is sturdy and easy to control when you're grating. The only thing I am wary of is cheese getting stuck on the inside at the 'feet' of the grater. But, I just have to make sure to check and wash it out. Otherwise, it does the job just great!

I have had lots of graters over the years but this one is the best and also less expensive than any of the others. Hope it holds up. I especially like the knob to hold on to. So far so good. I've used it about 15 times.

This is definitely my "go to grater". It is very easy to use and very easy on the "fingers" in the process of grating. You can grate a large block of cheese easily in less than two minutes. The grated cheese will stay inside the grater until you are finished. If you have grated enough, it will be compacted inside the grater, so you can carry to a bowl and tap the sides and the grated cheese will just fall in the bowl. It gives you the diffent choices of how fine you want your cheese grated. I usually pick the largest size, as it is the easiest to grate and it looks great in salads or other dishes where you want the cheese to be part of a nice presentation.

Works very well, stable and easy to hold especially if you have any type of grip problem with your hand. Works well on hard and soft cheese. Vegetables, potatoes, etc. Well worth the price and the protective legs and the triangular design make it easy to use when grating into a bowl.

You won't skin your knuckles with this this tapered, sturdy grater.

No stains or rust after 1.5 years of use.

Product came in on time, as advertised, and works great! I have used the grater numerous times-each time getting exactly the result I was going for! I love the fact that you can just grate over a plate-and that it is easily cleaned in the dishwasher.

Normally, I have to wash graters by hand...and as one of my favorite comedians once said (Mitch Hedberg) they never call a cheese grater by its real name...sponge ruiner! This one, you don't have to worry about hand washing it-and my fiance even commented on how elegant it looks. The black silicone/rubbber handle on top definitely helps in control of what you are doing-and the different sizes of grating come in handy as well.

Highly recommend, would buy again! On a completley unrelated note, I would also recommend buying products such as this, a hand mixer, etc for people the are just moving in-or don't know how to cook just yet. I'm learning to cook-and part of learning is not knowing everything you need to have a kitchen with all the right utensils. Just a thought :
