Giant Colander arrives in Seattle...,

This review is from: Progressive International Large 11-Inch Colander (Kitchen)
I wanted a colander for rinsing sprouts, veggies, fruits, etc. It had to be large, not aggressive to my cherished chlorophyl-filled friends, and low maintenance. This is the greatest colander, it does it all. And bonus, it's large enough for my cat to sleep in ;o)

One word; Polypropylene,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Progressive International Large 11-Inch Colander (Kitchen)
This is made of polypropylene meaning that you can safely drain pasta and other hot foods in it. It's also nice and large.
The holes may be a bit big but that hasn't proven to be a big problem.

Great for non-food draining, too,
This review is from: Progressive International Large 11-Inch Colander (Kitchen)
While this probably wasn't one of Progressive International's design goals, this colander fits perfectly in the top of a Home Depot orange bucket. This makes it very practical for my non-food straining applications.
Only four stars because the holes on the side are a little larger than those on the bottom and they're large enough that I have to be a bit careful sometimes. I can only imagine this was for looks since it isn't necessary for functionality.
