Progressive International Silicone Measuring Cups

These wouldn't be my first or only choice as measuring cups. The bottom of each container tapers, so they are not as stable as they could easily have been. Because of that, I generally don't use them for liquids. Since they nest, they take up little space, and the bright colors make them easy to find in a drawer.

They can also do double duty as prep bowls for mis en place. (Amazon carries both the NorPro and Progressive silicone pinch bowls.) These are also good for learning to measure out standard portions of solid foods.

Like the silicone pinch cups, they can double as toys for visiting babies and toddlers. For toddlers in high chairs, these cups are great containers for a few Cheerios and best of all, when they are dropped or thrown, as they inevitably will be, they won't break. (Just keep them away from the dog!)

Preschoolers love to use them to help measure dry ingredients (think dried fruit, nuts or chocolate chips) to be added to a recipe. The colors also help them distinguish one cup from another.

They wash quickly and easily in the sink, and are capable of being washed in the dishwasher-- though that seems more trouble than it's worth..

A NOTE ON COLORS: Mine are considerably darker in hue than what is shown on this site. This is also true of their pinch bowls.

These are not as great as I thought they would be. The colors are muddy-looking, not nice and bright as they are in the photo. The silicone does not seem to be of as high quality as other silicone products I have. Something about the texture and relative thinness just seems cheap, almost as if the silicone is a bit porous. (I haven't used it enough yet to figure out whether it holds odors, though.) Most significantly, the small base makes these cups VERY easy to tip over. I had hoped to use them when traveling, to do double duty in serving pudding, dipping sauces, etc., but they are just too tippable for that. I wish somebody would come out with a higher-quality set of stackable silicone measuring cups with more stable bases, classier colors and heavier-weight silicone, with a smooth (not pebbly) interior.

These silicone measuring cups are great! I love use them to measure foods and I also use them for little snacks for my toddler. She loves them because they are so colorful. I love them because they are so flexible and easy to clean.

They are stackable, so they are super easy to store. I love the bright, fun colors, and they are also easy to clean. Some people say not to throw them in the dishwasher because they are small, but I pinch the smaller ones in my silverware caddy, and I've never had a problem. They come out clean and pop open to their normal shape.

I found these are really useful when I make recipes involving 10 zillion ingredients, all in quite small amounts. Plus, it's just handy to have these things around.

These are great in our RV - easy to find in drawers, take small space, but accurate.

Got these measuring bowls to use for feeding my child -- they are soft & unbreakable, small sizes are just right for small portions, very easy to get every last spoonful out. Now using them for baby #2, highly recommend these for this purpose.

These are easy to handle and use. They are especially useful when you need to heat a small amount of something before adding it to the mixture--like chocolate or butter--because they are microwave and oven safe.

I thought these measuring cups would be terrific -- give a little squeeze to the sides and it makes an easy pour spout. What I'm finding is that when I pick the measuring cup up, the sides squeeze (DUH) but the stuff spills, oozes or falls out of the cup before it can become a convenient spout. I think the product works well for use as a holder for amounts of ingredients but not as true measuring cups.

These measuring cups are great quality and colorful. There are especially good to measure sticky peanut butter or icing - these flip inside out so you can easily get the contents out and clean them. When I first started using silcone kitchen items, I was skeptical but now I love them!
