These stock pots are a good size, but much too lightwgt for my purposes. for an extra ten dollars I purchased, from amazon by the way, a much heavier 18/8 pot with five-layer bottom. They are probably good for someone who is able to spend the time in the kitchen while cooking is in progress, and needs something budget-minded.Concord 18/10 Stainless Steel 20 Quart Stock Pot With Glass Lid

This is not a poduct for the professional cook or even for a homeowner who will use it regularly and expects it to retain it's brand new look. The material is relatively thin and won't stand up to bumps and bruises without showing dents and scratches. But, if you use it as a large container and handle it with care, it should last a long time. I bought mine to hold a 20# turkey for brining. It worked fine and seems to be a good value for the $$$ I paid.

The web site describes this item as follows: Product Dimensions: 16x12x13.5 inches; 4.8 pounds. This weight compared favorably with a decent 20 qt. pot I already have, so I ordered it.

It seemed flimsy when I took it out of the box, so I weighed it: 3.6 lb.

I'm returning it.

For ocassional use, great choice. Handles sturdier than expected and vent on top useful. Pot is on the thin side and wouldn't let it boil dry or use excessive heat - now I can make corned beef and cabbage without spilling water when the cabbage goes in!

I wouldn't suggest buying anything cheaper than this. I got it for home brewing and it works great, its just a little thin.

The pot is just fine, and the price is right -- nice and big, not hugely thick, but as long as we don't abuse it, it will be fine -- perfect for lobsters, soup, and other large meals!

Way too thin--you can tell when you pick it up that it's not very sturdy because it doesn't weigh very much. Didn't work for what I needed it for, perhaps good for soaking things...returned on arrival.

Item was shipped the day after I ordered it. Item was delivered the morning after it was shipped! I can't believe it got to me so quick with free shipping! It worked great on my first batch of home brewed beer, and I can't wait to use it again. Lid has slot for temperature reading, and it looks pretty cool too. Definitely recommend this product.

For what I am using it for, its great. I am in college and the low weight is actually a good thing. I have now used it multiple times for corn on the cob and soup and it works great. Vent is a little wierd, so my freind and i cut it out, sanded the edges down, and now it is fine. Overall, I would say that it was worth my money.

This stockpot is a standard in our kitchen. We use it regularly for our sauces and stews and it cleans up well. Would recommend it for anyone.
