A Must Have For Trumpet Players, September 29, 2008

I have the LP version of " All Star Trumpet Spectacular" and only found out recently via Amazon that it was available on CD. The LP goes for 35min approx, however when I put the Cd version into my player the time lenght was over 70min, WOW! what a great find, apparently the CD has two different sessions featuring different trumpet players including Waymond Reed ex Basie trumpet soloist on the session that is not on the album. A must have if you love trumpets. The playing is outstanding especially from Lew Soloff (Blood Sweat and Tears) in my opinion one of the best trumpet players of all time. If you find it grab it!
