Great hard SF, with undertones of Arthurian legend, August 25, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Project Avalon (Paperback)
Alexander Howerton writes a great hard SF novel about the need for a manned colony on the moon within a compelling and entertaining story. Woven into the story are characters and elements from the legend of King Arthur. You'll have fun trying to match up the characters in Project Avalon with their counterparts in Arthurian legend.

Feels like the space activist community as it wishes to be., August 18, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Project Avalon (Paperback)
...found this book to be a satisfying, if thinly veiled, treatise on the prospect of near future Lunar Colonization.
If you believe that mankind is destined to live in space, you will find yourself sympathetic to this author and his characters.
You may enjoy the threads that reach further into mankind's collected legend than the traditional bow to Heinlein, Niven, Bova, or Clarke.
A pleasant way to taste the culture of today's space activist community. This book represents them well.
