This review is from: Project A (Audio CD)
This is as good as jazz based soul music can be. Superb sax performance by Joel Frahm, great rhythm section anchored by Aretha's bass player Jerry Jemmott and led by keyboard player Bruce Katz. The two standout songs are, "What a Friend I Have in Jesus" and "It Ain't Fair". "It Ain't Fair" has perhaps the most seductive slow groove I've ever heard or felt. Buy it, you'll love it.Cheers-Steve Carr [...]
