5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Bad Film Ever, February 20, 2001

This review is from: Project Kill [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Ladies and Gentlemen, take a moment to contemplate humour in movies.

For some, it means a simple "Yeah, baby!" and a few fallic jokes. Others prefer the lighter, more romantic comedy, or the cleverly-designed plot with witty commentary (such as 'Oscar', with Sly Stallone).

However, there is one comedy that is universal, one whimsical farce that everyone can relate to in one way or another. The Bad Movie.

And now, Ladies and Gentlemen, I would ask that you bow down - nay, grovel - before the Eternal God Supreme of bad movies.

'Project: Kill'.

Ever wanted to see Leslie Nielson act in a serious role (sorry, 'act' in a 'serious' role)? I give you my personal guarantee, the difference here between action and comedy is negligible.

In fact, in P:K, action defies the genre by being funnier.

Every scene is an accidental comedic masterpiece; action sequences a Jim Henson studio would be ashamed of are complemented perfectly by classic lines such as, "I'm not programmed for love". Nielson forgets these lines every second scene - quite literally - and it's painfully obvious as his perpetually puzzled gaze roams off-screen, suddenly filled with desperation as he searches frantically for the right words.

Quality viewing to the end, 'Project: Kill' offers up a climax like no other. This, Ladies and Gentlemen, is the most hilarious, side-splittingly funny scene of any movie ever made - without exception. I'll not spoil it; suffice to say, the entire movie is worth watching several times over, simply to see this scene.

Spread the word. Buy like you have never bought before. Laugh, cry, laugh some more.

'Project: Kill' is coming.
