When I first read this book about two years ago I had a tough time beliving some of it but found the book interesting and informative none the less. However, Much of what Texx Marrs has written in "Project Lucid" has since been acknowleged by the goverment and or has come to pass (Y2k excepted) Most noteably Project ECHELON a vast spying and listening computer network that scans every phone call, E-mail, fax and other electronic transmissions in the entire world for key words. When I first read this book I figured this was at best a strecth if not fiction, Loe and behold 2 and a half years later not only do the goverments of The US and UK confirm it's existence but the Eourpeans are taking it seriously enough to investigate whether it was used for Boeing and other US companies to steal contracts from Eourpean Companies. Texx Marrs may sound like a nut on occaisoin but he was way ahead of the curve on this one, and you have to give him credit for that.

In my opinion, Texe Marrs did a great job compiling this book. I've read all the comments these readers have submitted, and I disagree. I've been studying L.U.C.I.D., the Y2K problem, and the end times, and have even contacted Dr. Halaris and other noted officials, and everything from Project L.U.C.I.D. appears to be true, although they don't want to come right out and say it. There's one Christian on the staff, whose name I cannot reveal; and she has realized that the project is evil in brewing. She's studying everything that goes on inside, and is giving me information not available to the average Joe. On the "stealing information" issue on Texe Marrs: I believe that he really didn't do anything wrong, morally. If he violated any copyright laws, I don't know, but there's nothing wrong with compliling information from several sources, as long as it's done legally. I mean, how is he supposed to show that he hasn't altered any of the information without just including the information itself. Also, the Bible says that you non-Christians would doubt the Truth when it comes. I hope you guys change your minds about L.U.C.I.D. Also, I'm COMPILING a new multimedia CD Rom called Y2K: Biblical Prophecies on The End Times, it will be FREE at many Christian Bookstores. It pushes what I believe to be the truth, and in NO way an excuse to make easy cash for my organization, for as I said earlier, is FREE. I'm also making an accompanying web site called igNIGHT, devoted to underground information on The End Times, and other Christian topics. And yes, I am a Christian, and love God more than anything else, and it hurts me when I see people who don't see that the New Age Movement is destroying the world, and that The End Times are near.Read more ›

His critics dismiss Texe Marrs with the label "Fundamentalist Christian." So be it. But at least he takes a stand. At least he reads the Bible of his faith. At least he applies it to the world around him. I like Marrs' books. They have the excitement of conspiracy theory. But grounded in Bible study. If you don't believe in the Bible (or are afraid your friends will think you're a nut if you do) you probably won't like his books. But if you're into Bible prophecy, and use the Christian Bible to guide your life, then I think you'll appreciate Marrs' perspective. I'll admit, I try not to put any Christian writer on a pedestal. God is still the definitive Author. But there's a place for writers who use the Bible to comment on current events. I appreciate the work they do. Especially when it prompts me to go back and read Bible passages they've pointed out. So, Mr. Marrs: I thank you for taking so much flak, yet still keeping the faith. And I eagerly await your next book.

This book was very well written by Tex Marrs. The public needs to take heed of what he has to say about the future and how everything going on today lines up with the Bible and what is predicted in the Book Of Revelations. We need to know where we stand as Christians and what is going on in the world around us. I would highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to know what is really going on in our government and where our money is being spent.

Thia book had left me in a greater understanding of what is to come. Texe has done outstanding research to back up every thing he is portraying in his book. I was not eager to believe it until i looked up the magazines and news paper articals myself. People Christians or not please take note of this book . The scripture backs Texe up.As do the things that are happening even today ! I hope he writes more on the subject and reveals more of what he has found out due to his research since this book was published ..

Teaches fear. We should be teaching truth and not fear of a false beast program. When we understand this we will not fear what God has warned us about.

As a Texan, who also finds Mr. Marrs workings to be sociopathic, it is sad that the many more sensible Texas writers, or even just reasonable compilers and re-presenters of valuable information are not more frequently published. It is irritating that Mr Marrs has chosen to keep the "Texe" part of his name, since he does not represent either a typical Texan or the best of Texas. In the free society of Texas we try to tolerate and understand, even enjoy, some of the crazier people that associate themselves with our state, but we don't have to make them richer for lying to us. In addition to L.U.C.I.D., I have had a chance to view several of his earlier works for comparison, which were often in pamphlet form, while they were still being printed. He wants to cut people off from knowledge that could be valueable to them by using their Christianity against them. He has previously made outrageous books based on long all-inclusive lists of such things as "satanic" magazines. Among these he has counted Readers Digest, Better Homes and Gardens and the like. If you believe him that such sources of information are tainted, perhaps because they mention a useful Chinese herb or mention a Hatha Yoga stretching exercise, then you will be entering into his delusional world. His world will not respect your individual capacities to judge for yourself and sift out good from bad. He wants you to only accept information he presents and in the way he wants you to believe it. As a True Texan, I'm reminding others to be sensible and not fall for every NewAge-y snake oil salesman just because he wraps himself in phoney Christian, millenialist "prophecy" as if he were Abraham and Moses combined. If he is to be enjoyed at all it is not by taking him too seriously.Read more ›
