Project Management Nation is authoritative advice and a working blend of tools, techniques and goals. I have been a PM for many years and this book could only have been compiled with proven experience in the field. Outstandingly, Jason keeps the enterprise well in mind.

His book is a great resource and valuable addition for every PM toolbox...

Project Management Nation (PMN) is an in-depth guide to the practicing IT project manager working for a consultant firm. The book is filled with great detail of work to be done throughout the lifecycle of a project. The concern is that the book is clearly geared towards project managers that deal outside of a core company, and instead make their money as consultants. The book lacks examples, and starts off with many great quotes by Sun Tzu and around the third chapter they just disappear. A lack of examples in the details along with many grammatical errors in the book dropped my overall rating. If you are looking to read this book, give it a once over, then go back thru the lifecylce of the project you are managing and highlight the key points for you.

As a new Project Manager, I set out to obtain a few texts would bring me up to speed quickly on the essentials of Project Management. I ended up purchasing this and three other books on Project Management. This book alone provided the information that the other three together could not. The author's writing style makes reading this book a pleasure and I'm sure I will be using this book again as a reference in the future.

Highly recommended book for the new and already practicing Project Manager.

I am an Investment Banker. We specialize in Project Finance with a commercial property bias. This book is great in helping me understand the basic project management techniques. All to often we are in the dark as far as client project progress is concerned. This book has greatly assisted me in being able to ask pertinent project progress questions.

This book should be prescribed reading material for undergraduate project management courses - If it is not already prescribed.

Jason's book helped ease my way into the Project Management world. As a novice in this field, I face many situations, questions and conditions, which were all answered in Project Management Nation. The ease and creativity of this read made it a very enjoyable experience for me. The templates, examples and tools provided in PMN are forever valuable to my project's progress - a great reference book that I will go back to time and time again.

This book provides a excellent source of knowledge to anybody wanting to dabble in the art of project management. Keep it at close hand as it also serves as an excellent reference for all project management questions. The insight, humor and in depth knowledge about project management make this book the best on the subject, I have read.

I felt I knew nothing about this subject before this book came out and feel now that this is a valid statement. If books broaded your horizons and allows you to fly, this book could possibly do that for you.

This is the best book on project management I've read. The author addresses every critical aspect of project management and makes a complicated subject easy to understand. This is a book that anyone involved with project management will want to keep readily available as a constant reference.
