I recently passed the PMP exam. I was able to complete the exam in two hours comfortably and confidently. I found that the PM Process Flow poster was extremely valuable in helping me understand the PMI project management methodology.

There is a great deal of information that needs to be digested in order to prepare for the PMP exam. In reading the PMBOK Guide and other PMP test prep books the 42 processes are described over many chapters and it is not always apparent what the sequence of events are or how the processes are related. The PM Process Flow poster served as a key resource in understanding the big picture. I kept the poster handy and after reading a chapter would trace the processes on the poster. In a couple of weeks I could visualize much of the poster and true understanding of the PM processes were firmly rooted in my memory.

The authors of the poster also provide other resources at their website ([...]). The "PM Plan 'n' Docs" and "PM Primary Formulas" are two downloadable reference guides that should be reviewed thoroughly before the exam.

The bottom line is that that PM Process Flow poster proved to be a very valuable resource in preparing for the PMP exam, and frankly, as a newly minted PMP I refer to it daily.

More than 5 star for content. Excellent. Get it! What I needed to see for my PMP review. However the mailing for this very fine chart is not so good. This chart was simply put in a Manila envelope folded up to 1/6 the size and some slim maybe 35lb paper was put to either side with it labeled DO NOT BEND.....certainly not enough to discourage the USPS from bending it since it was flexible with no protection. Credit to stamping it with the postal stamp DO NOT BEND, but that won't stop the USPS from bending something to put it in a postal box if the package is bendable, which is what happened to mine. I also ordered a different PMP tool from a different merchant, and they didn't stamp DO NOT BEND, but they put two pieces of hard cardboard surrounding their document and postal service held it out of the box and didn't smash it in like they did to this poster because it wasn't bendable. They both arrived the same day and I called the PO out on it, and they said because it wasn't reinforced it was treated like the regular mail. The machine out sorts packages and envelopes that resist bending. They don't read the stamped labels. Argh. When I got the poster laminated at Staples it lumped at the bends and almost made one of the bends unreadable. This is an AWESOME tool, I recommend you private message this merchant and see about shelling out a few bucks to get it put in a tube so the USPS won't destroy it and the creases won't interfere with lamination. Photo shows what happened to mine on the crease at lamination it tore on the right side and buckled over the word deliverables, which was right on the crease. Excellent excellent tool. Poor physical delivery of high quality product.

Although this flowchart has all the information regarding the processes, it is way to busy and difficult to read and follow. I would have preferred something less busy and easy to follow.

I am very impressed with the Process Flow Poster. This is an excellent study aid for those wishing to take the PMP Certification Test. This is also useful for PMO's, PM's and any organization wishing to adopt the principles and practices of professional project management.

The poster is on high-quality glossy paper stock. It is very easy to follow with color coding to guide you through the various knowledge areas and processes. The text is clear and the overall document is well-designed and attractive.

I highly recommend this item to everyone with an interest in project management.

This poster is a wonderful study aid. I hung it on my wall and used the clearly defined process flow to re-enforce what I was learning from my exam prep. The Knowledge areas are color coded and the required outputs have icons so you can easily visualize (and remember) requirements. This aid is definitely worth having if you are serious about being an effective Project/Program Manager. Utilizing this poster while reading the exam prep book actually helped tie everything together, and greatly contributed to my ability to pass the exam!

I was looking for a chart that would help me during my studies for the PMP to tie all the processes and knowledge areas together. This chart has been a great resource. I have had the chart laminated and plan on putting it on my wall at work for reference.
