Over the last year I have searched for Primavera P6 books and kept coming up short for a book that followed a self teaching path. I read the Admin Manual (really did) , Reference Manual, Oracle P6.2 Training Guide and a couple other mini manuals from suppliers. I even installed P6v7 on my own and configured the WebAccess module (following admin manual) but when it came to using the features I was at a loss. Then I found this book on Amazon and NOTHING COMES CLOSE. The book gives you a nice, to the point, intro on scheduling with a Primavera flare and walks you through step by step with nice visuals. To be honest I am on Chapter 4 and really got excited, I may stay up the entire night :) but anyhow this is my first and probably only review but if you really want to learn P6 and like to teach yourself and don't want to pay the fees for the training classes this is the way to go. This manual will help new users to the software, regardless of their experience level with this scheduling software.
It is easy to follow and understand, both for troubleshooting and instruction. I have looked at and reviewed several aftermarket manuals for P6, and this one is BY FAR the one I would most recommend!
