It is amazing how talented the designers are.

Picking apart designers without offering ideas on how to improve, in other words, instead of constructive criticism they are being meaner than normal.

I am just not seeing anything hip or interesting in this show anymore.

Love the show but don't understand why the latest episode is still not available for viewing!
How long does it take normally? Usually I can get it the day after it airs but that time has come and gone and it's still not open for viewing.

Episode 5: The audio doesn't sync with the video. The show itself is great. I could not find a way to report this problem, so I am giving a poor review.

We're two episodes in on Project Runway season 13 and it is fairly similar to other seasons of the show. Some changes made recently are still in effect. Zac Posen is still the judge instead of Michael Kors. Tim Gunn still has the Tim Gunn "save" as his part of the judging. I cannot detect any new changes which have gone into effect other than audience participation figures run onscreen.

The judges may be getting a bit weary of the process as the seem a bit harsher than usual. They also are leaving everyone a bit more befuddled than usual. On both episodes everyone was a bit taken aback by some of their decisions. The audience figures were opposite from their selections. Even the online bloggers like Nick Verreos could not make sense out of a lot of the judging going on in this season.

There are no standout contestants so far other than some of those with serious problems stand out. One woman, Angela, is so terrified that she can barely stop shaking long enough to make her outfit or stand on the stage. She has barely squeaked by in the first two episodes.

For those of us who enjoyed the contestants being presented with their own HP tablets to do their sketching, that aspect is total missing this time. The contestants are using drawing pads and pencils instead! HP technology is also no longer a part of the grand prize either. I suppose this means we will not see the contestants make their own fabric this season since there are no high tech tablets with which to design fabric. This is too bad. I can only assume this is some big dust up with HP & the producers of PR as this has always been one of the most popular challenges.

The usual dichotomy is presenting itself on the show as well. Should creativity and artistry score higher than impeccable craftsmanship?

To me Project Runway is almost always a good show. It is still too early in the season to determine if this would be a great season or just good season. I personally did not like the 'returning contestant' twist (mostly because this wasn't a fun or colorful player or even good designer, in my opinion), but this is minor and at any rate - subjective. I think Tim Gunn's presence is what makes this show - remove Tim Gunn and there is no show, just some contest. By now (having watched most seasons of Project Runway) I am used to Heidi Klum as a host, but she is totally replaceable - not much personality, stiff and awkward. But as long as there are some ambitious designers with imagination and Tim Gunn - there will never be Project Runway below 4 stars. In my humble opinion :)

I loved the previous seasons, this one... The judges have been especially cruel. Picking apart designers without offering ideas on how to improve, in other words, instead of constructive criticism they are being meaner than normal. If this season continues the way it has, I may have cancel my subscription.

The show airs on Thursday night and it is now Sunday and the latest episode has yet to post. I enjoy the show but the waiting game takes away from the enjoyment. (Amazon reports that the company is late submitting the episode which is the reason for the delay.) If the company doesn't care about the fans/viewers.... maybe it's time to stop watching. Frustrating.

Project Runway has obviously been around for a long time. It's a great show. Do I look forward to the next episode with breathless anticipation? No. However, It's fun. I definitely will finish watching (and paying) for this season. But will I watch the next season? My question will be, "is it worth the money?" I'm not sure that the answer will be yes.
