I've used this book for about 4 years in now in my Elementary Art classroom. I find it useful for cross-curricular connections. I have also found some very good multi-cultural lessons in this book as well.

We have tried most of the projects. They are colorful, have an appropriate level of difficulty, and my kids were pleased with the result and wanted to do more. We have successfully used them with other studies on the world. I also adapted them easily to the supplies we had on hand.
