Unlike many others, I have had difficulties finding a recording of Alexander Nevsky I've really liked. It seems the choirs have difficulties, and I've felt the orchestras do not bring out all there is. However this recording I enjoy, it is rhythmic, it moves, and has a beautiful tone. You can tell the conductor and orchestra is specialized in Prokofiev. Soprano Jard Van Nes, I suppose, isn't born and raised in Russia, but her solo is just fine its own respect.

The other pieces are also just fine.
