Since winnig the Tchaikovsky competition Mr.Douglas is recognised as a Russian piano music specialist especially on the romantic period works by composers like Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky and Mussorksky. But in this disc he also shows us his great skill in mastering Prokofiev somewhat 20th century style. RCA is narrowing its classical production so please buy this cd from one of the stores near you before it is too late.
