Frederic Chiu shows us once again his special approach to the piano music of Prokofiev. He plays with great virtuosity, feeling and drive in the same time. The recorded sound is very good, as with the other 8 CDs in this serious, including the great 3 cd set of the piano sonatas.

Focusing in particular on the piano transciption of the Lt. Kije suite, as transcibed by the composer, this work is a must for fans of the Lt. Kije suite. Frederick Chiu presents a forceful reading of this piece, and having it side-by-side with the orchestral version makes for great comparative listening. Enjoy!
