Book Description

1995
The recent history of war and devastation in Cambodia and the resulting emigration by hundreds of thousands of refugees has led to widespread images of a country deep in the throes of economic and demographic stagnation. Recently, however, the country has been experiencing a social, economic and demographic resurgence. Prolific Survivors presents a comprehensive view of the current population situation in Cambodia and its recent evolution, and sketches out the implications of salient demographic trends on the prospects for both social and economic change and development.
