Dr Hauser and Prolotherapy are the real deal. This book is not only well written but believe it or not, fun to read. It is a book full of medical information that the layperson can understand easily. As I read I found myself saying, "He's talking about me... he's talking about me! " His stories and quirky sense of humor made the book very enjoyable for someone with little medical knowledge

After reading this fine work by the Hauser's and Mr. Pottinger I was convinced to travel to Oak Park, IL to receive treatments from "the man who wrote the book." What an experience. I was greeted by some of the most kind and courteous professionals I have ever met. I also discovered that his office had so much more to offer. Not only did he provide me relief from years of chronic back pain, but also I discovered a whole new way of life through the nutritional guidance I received. Dr. Hauser and his staff cured my chronic pain and have made sure my body is as healthy as it can be, all through the use of natural medicine. I found this book and the treatment of Prolo for my wife. She had suffered for two years after a fall that caused chronic whiplash syndrome. She was off of work for months at a time and had severe headaches, vertigo, insomnia, terrible constant migraines, memory loss, shooting pains in arms, neck, and shoulder, as well as depression. We had mri's, cat scans, x- rays, accupuncture, accupressure, physical therapy, chiro., and nothing helped. Other doctors said there was nothing wrong and she was faking it!!!! Within days of first treatment we knew something was different. Within 6 weeks she was back at work and has been steadily improving. She is about 90% totally healed after four treatments. Insurance did pay about 75% of the cost also. Buy this book if you have chronic pain, buy it today and start to live again!!!! Dr. Hauser is MY personal hero, he gave me back my wife!!!!!!!!!

After suffering for years with all kinds of chronic pain from accidents and injuries combined with years of hard physical work which did damage to my joints and tendons, combined with the "over 40 gaining weight I just can't get off" syndrome, I found the answer I literally prayed for in Dr. Hauser's book. I live 4 hours from Chicago and I made the appointment and the trip(pretty scarey for this country girl) and had my first prolotherapy treatment a week ago. Before I got home from the Dr.'s office, the severe pain I've had in my right shoulder and shoulder blade that radiates all through my right shoulder and down my right arm was gone. It hasn't returned along with the fibromyalgia pain I've experienced in my back every time I go to sleep. Conventional medicine says "you're just going to have to live with this pain. We'll send you to a pain management class and give you drugs to kill the pain and give you the number of your local de-tox center when you get addicted to these drugs" Been there-done that!!! This is NOT God's will for his children. There is healing available for chronic pain but it doesn't cost thousands of dollars and keep you dependent on expensive drugs and surgeries, so the conventional medical society is not going to tell you about it. This therapy actually causes your body to grow new ligaments and restores the joints to work like they're supposed to allowing you to exercise without pain and doing more damage, like I've been doing for the last 10 years. This book is very affordable and worth it's weight in gold. Get it. Read it. Believe that God loves you enough to send you an answer to suffering. He's your Father and He loves you. Try it, you'll like it. What have you got to lose?

If you have any pain AT ALL, please read this book. The treatment described will save countless money and time spent with/on ortho. doctors, physical therapists, and anyone who wants to teach you 'Pain Management Techniques' (otherwise known as nothing will help you, deal with it, we can still find ways to take your money).

More and more patients had referred me to articles on Prolotherapy over the last 2 years and more and more underwent it as anadjunct to my acupuncture therapy for them. As an eternal skeptic I was not convinced until I read this book and saw the results on two of my patients whose problems had all but cleared up with acupuncture save a few very painful trigger points which prolotherapy managed to zap in the final phases. In my experience it works well, especially when combined with acupuncture, and Dr. Hauser has put together a very well orchestrated book on the subject. The diagrams are accurate and it is useful for both lay readers and health professionals....All the best to Dr. Hauser and his co-authors for a job well done!!...Kenneth Giuffre MD, author, "The Care and Feeding of Your Brain"

Pro's: no surgery, no medications, wide application to all types of musculoskeletal pain, less costly than other modes, permanent self-healing, safe, and no down time Con's: insurance does not cover it, hard to find an experienced practitioner, and... the personal aspects of the book are out of place, but not offensive

This is a great book on prolotherapy, also called reconstructive therapy. I've done a massive amount of research on this treatment, including this book. The book really tells it like it is. If you're not a practicing Christian, don't be turned off by the religious bent that Ross takes. There really is some excellent information in there. I must say that presently, based on my research, the "true guru" of this therapy practices in the city of Ensenada, Baja California. Dr. Milne Ongley is a British doctor who's perfected his technique over 40 years. Certainly others use the technique with tremendous success. Dr. Ongley, however, has expanded the use of the treatment to diseases that most would argue are untreatable....such as Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), and other maladies.

I have suffered with costochondritis or Tietze's Syndrome (which is chronic pain in the chest wall caused by ribs slipping out of position) for over 4 years. The pain has been excruciating at times, and being directly over my heart, has sent me to the emergency room with thoughts of a heart attack.

I had seen many doctors and finally, one suggested prolotherapy, although he didn't do it himself. He suggested I do some research and find a doctor. Well, my research lead to this book which I ordered and read thoroughly in a few days. It is an easy read, although a bit on the "ra ra" side. It did convince me of the logic of the treatment and I am in the early stages of therapy now. I am a bit concerned with the lack of objective information out there, and if that is what you are looking for, this isn't your book. But..... it is a good place to start.

I HAVE HAD SOME PROLOTHERAPY IN THE LAST YEAR, DUE TO A CAR ACCIDENT. NOT KNOWING HOW FAR I SHOULD GO WITH THIS THERAPY, MY DOCTOR TOLD ME THE DIFFRENT DOCTORS THAT WERE DOING THIS AND HOW IT STARTED. I GOT THE BOOK AND COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST INFORMATIVE BOOKS ON THIS SUBJECT THAT ANYONE CAN READ AND UNDERSTAND. IT MAKES ME WANT TO HAVE IT ALL. MY LIFE HAS REALLY BEEN SLOWED DUE TO THIS ACCIDENT, AND I WANT MY LIFE BACK. MY SPOUSE SAID I EXPECTED TOO MUCH, BUT NOW I DON'T THINK I'VE EXPECTED ENOUGH. THIS BOOK IS THE GREATEST THING I'VE READ. I NOW HAVE HOPE FOR FUTURE, AND AN ACTIVE LIFE LIKE I HAD BEFORE. THANKS FOR WRITING THIS BOOK. I'M SURE LIKE A LOT OF OTHERS, I FELT IT WAS WRITTEN JUST FOR ME. JETTA

Factual book by good author. Had prolo 3 times and it helped me with lower back pain. Even after the 1st time I gradually had less pain. It can take 1-2 months but it is real healing not just covering the pain.
