this book is sooooo good!,
By "muscle_boy03" (Coral Springs, FL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Prom Queen (Fear Street, No. 15) (Mass Market Paperback)
I am fifteen. And I just happened to pick this book up when I saw the front cover and read the title. It was really good. The horror and action was magnificent. Sometimes, people who read Stine books for a long time think that they know who the killer is going to be........... this time you wont. you will aboslutely NEVER EVER guess who the killer is unless you finish reading the book. And when you do find out who it is, you will just die in shock and amazement. It is sooooo good and it's definitely a page turner. READ READ READ THIS BOOK!

The Prom Queen is a terrifying race against time to stop the murderer who is killing the Prom Queen candidates one by one. Lizzy McVay is trying to stop the murderer before she becomes the victim. I thought this book was surprising and it was very elaborate so it puts you right in the story.

This review is from: The Prom Queen (Fear Street, No. 15) (Mass Market Paperback)
Looking for a four star book that will keep you from sleeping. The Prom Queen will do just that. Shadyside High is having a prom. There has been five girls elected to be prom queen. They were all excited until sudden deaths of spome of the prom queens occured. Now none of the remaining girls are exicited. They're all taking precautions, Which girl will live long enought to be prom queen i cant say but the end is shoking. This book has an uncalled for end and each chapter leaves you in suspense. "A spring night...soft moonlight....five beautiful Prom Queen canidates, dancing couples at the Shadyside High prom. These should be the ingredients for romance. But stir in one brutal murder then another and another and the recipe quikly turns to horror" This book is all horror and fright with a twisted ending. With everypage turn you'll widh you were in your room with all the lights on and you mommy holding you close. read this book and be glad you dont live on Fear Street.

One Hell Of a Prom,
By Matt Britt (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Prom Queen (Fear Street, No. 15) (Mass Market Paperback)
I got this book from the libery and I read in a week and was so amazed of how great it was. Even the first sentence in the book was so intersting- " We couldn't stop talking about the killer."The book was so fast paced and idickting. I loved the way R.L Stine just kept on killing off character after character. This was one of the few books where the story is narirated by the main character and it made the storty better too. The end was so twisted and unsespected. I could not believe my eyes when i saw the words at the last few chapters. This is a real good book, i would purchase it if your in the mood for a good scary story.

Prom Victims,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Prom Queen (Fear Street, No. 15) (Mass Market Paperback)
Have you ever wanted to pick up a book that is filled with screams and thrills? The Prom Queen is one book you'll never forget. From the Fear Street series, The Prom Queen is a thriller you won't want to put down.Lizzie McVay and her friends: Simone, Rachel, Dawn, and Elana have all been nominated to be Shaydyside Highschool's Prom Queen for the Spring Dance. The Prom Queen is awarded a $3,000.00 scholorship to a nearby college. There is only one problem- someone wants all the money, someone who is greedy enough to kill. Simone disappears and Lizzie is devestated when her best friend Rachel is murdered. Now she is afraid the murderer will come after her too. Can she stop him before it's too late? I really like The Prom Queen because the suspense and thrills will get you on the edge of your seat. There was only one part I didn't like- when Lizzie had a nightmare. I think that R.L. Stine wrote a little too much detail. But doesn't he always? Just remember, keep the light on!

This book is really scary. You never suspect who the killer is. It starts when a girl is found in the Fear Street woods. . . dead. Then on eof the prom queen candidates dissappears. Then, another queen candidate is murdered. Then another. And another. Who is killing the prom queens? Read the book to find out.

More awesome YA horror cheese,
By Donna at Bites (Connecticut) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Prom Queen (Fear Street, No. 15) (Paperback)
Despite the fact that none of the characters are all that likable, THE PROM QUEEN is still en epic foray into old school cheese. I seriously just can't get enough of these books. For the bad, the characters really aren't redeeming. They all go on dates with one of their friends' boyfriends behind her back and they do it shamelessly. They're all self-centered, one's exceptionally bitter and it's not like these girls have revelations at the end of the book that fix these issues. That's just how they are. They're just not appealing. But the plot? Pretty awesome. I was definitely wrapped up in it, trying to figure out who the murderer was and why. Quite frankly a plot to kill prom queens is kind of dumb but the girls come up with some pretty good motives for why. None of them were right but at least their heads were in the right place. I didn't see coming who the murderer was. Even in hindsight it was hidden pretty well. Granted I don't actively look for this kind of stuff and I'm not someone that picks up on it too easily so someone else could rightly guess the murderer immediately. I didn't and was kind of shocked when I did find out. You guys know me by now; I'm a sucker for cheese and THE PROM QUEEN has it in spades. But I love it. Despite it's gouda essence, it'll still make you think twice about sitting in your room alone at night. It'll still make you wonder about your friends. It's still a good horror book and I've said it before and I'll say it again, the YA world needs far more of them.
