Product Description

It is designed by scuba diver's and used by scuba divers, and made of Titanium, more durable, stronger, and also lighter in weights than stainless steel. The ergonomic handle is specially injected onto the tang of the knife (disassembl?e). The corrosion protection on this knife will really impress you, all it requires is a simple rinse and air dry. The butt can be used for underwater signaling.

There are two (2) different design for different use: SHARP TIP and BLUNT TIP, available color in Blue/Black, Gray/Black, Yellow/Black.

I ordered this knife only because I saw it being used by Bear Grylls on Man vs. Wild on the Discovery Channel (one of my favorite shows). I saw the abuse the knife took. If you have ever seen the show you know he uses his knife for everything including chopping down trees by hitting the back of the knife blade with rocks or wood or what ever. Any way I knew from what I saw it was a well built knife (atleast it appeared on TV to be one) and once I received it I realized that it in fact is as seen on the show. This is a great knife for any diver or person with the need for a knife that comes in contact with a lot of moisture. Sharp blade out of the box and a very sturdy sheath with a good design on the retaining mechanism to keep the knife in the sheath when it is supposed to be and not hard to get out when you need it.

Saw this on Man vs. Wild as well - not why I bought it though... I was looking for a cheap, full tang & full size, titanium blade diving/snorkeling knife for a decent price. This blade fits the bill. As for the quality of titanium - it's hard to tell, but for this price I wouldn't expect high grade. As long as you thoroughly rinse & dry after each use, there is no noticeable corrosion. I bought the yellow handle one and it is brighter yellow than the picture shows - great for locating if you drop it in the reef. The sheath is kind of cheap feeling, but does lock the knife in well & is easily released with a single hand. The leg straps are to small for a 180 lb man's thigh, but hold securely to calf - rubber seems like it might last a couple of years. Overall: a good affordable & lightweight dive knife.

I bought this knife for my father, a SCUBA diver whose been diving for around 15 years. He loves it and uses it all the time when he dives! It's a great length and he loves that the blade is titanium, which is strong and good for cutting nets that he finds underwater, as well any other fishing equipment or trash that doesn't belong in the ocean. Overall an excellent choice for the gift and for diving!
