A fusion masterpiece of chamber music, Scott Walker-esque lyrics, playful humour, slick writing, and pop. Excellent album, highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fine pop, March 9, 2004

Welcome to the Kingdom of Fine English Songs, the one that Andy Partridge himself said he never attained, the one where you might met the lords of the ritornello, Ray Davis, Lennon-McCartney, Burt Bacharach, Brian Wilson, Serge Gainsbourg etc. Du grand art. As if the Beatles would have had a jam session with Michael Nyman. Everybody loves this album, everybody with a minimum of melodic sense.
