More About the Author

Who is Bridget Batson?

I am Bridget Batson and I'm completely boring. But, most people are, so that makes two of us, right? What do I do? I am a recruiter, professional resume writer, and (obviously) a children's book author (that is how you found me, right?). I used to perform stand up comedy but I apparently wasn't very successful at it - after all you have never heard of me, right? But, I did meet some cool people - cooler than me anyway.

I have beautiful baby boy - okay he is seven now - but he'll always be my baby boy. I work from home which means I work crazy hours. I try to do fun things with the kiddo when he is home so work on the computer at night. I get less sleep but sooner or later he'll start thinking I'm embarrassing so I'm spending loads of time with him while he still thinks my jokes are funny.

I bought this book for my son's first birthday based on the great reviews. I was very disappointed. The pictures are strange. They are also only on the right side of each page along with text. The left side in the book is totally blank. The text rhymes, but it felt like it did not have a good flow. I also did not like how the boy got in trouble for things like clogging the toilet and writing on the wall. My 4 year old daughter read it with me as well and she thought it was terrible a kid would do those kinds of things. I ultimately ended up returning the book.

I bought this book for my wife on behalf of our son for Mother's Day based on all the great reviews and was embarrassed when we actually read it. It is definitely a homemade-quality product trying to be passed off as something professional. The illustrations contain an odd assortment of backgrounds. Some are drawings that look halfway decent while others are terribly pixelated photos. I'm at a loss to explain all of the good reviews. I wouldn't have spent a dime on it if I'd seen this in a store.

I really enjoyed reading this book with my son (although now I'm worried I'm gonna have to do some things with him I haven't in the past!! :).
I came across this one while reading the author's children's book for peanut allergies and I love them both.
OK, I confess, I had tears in my eyes when reading the last page out loud to my child!

Really cool book.

Who is trying to pass off a homemade looking book for something professionally done, but also trying to charge professional prices for it? The illustrations are horribly cheap looking, pixellated clip art. Hire an illustrator.

I wouldnt pay a dollar for it much less $10. What a rip off!

A heartwarming poem that displays a mother's unconditional love for her son. It was fun, delightful, and just overall cute. Great job!

This was my valentines gift to my four year old. He made me read it to him 5 times in a row! The graphics are strange to me but my kid loves them.

It's a nice read for any Mother that has a son or many sons'. A very simple book with a nice, touching message.
